A aimé · Benoit has renovated the house with skill and great taste (while retaining the character) it's absolutely beautiful. He is a great host, nothing is too much trouble and he even gave me flowers for my birthday. Breakfast was good and copious and there is an area to make hot drinks or help yourself to cold drinks from the fridge. It's ideally situated in a very calm street but only 5 minutes walk from the port at Pouliguen where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. The garden is delightful, very mediterranean with a great swimming pool. Plenty of shaded areas, sunbeds, seating, etc. Thanks Benoit, we'll be back!!

La Baule was a great place to visit!
La Baule was a great place to visit! We went at a great time where it was sunny and the water temperature was right enough to swim! There are two Parks in La Baule to visit - Parc des Dryades and the Tropicarium Bonsai.
We went to two ice cream shops that were fun. One was Amorino; they can make flower shaped ice creams and have interesting flavours. The other one was La Fraiserie; they had big ice creams so none of the ice cream was melting in to our hands and had really good hazelnut ice cream. I would recommend that!
You can rent bicycles at your local bicycle stores like La Baule Locations Velo. Scooters are available as well. Walking around is pretty easy if you would like to walk around the beach/pier.
I would avoid going to the beach at night. There are a lot of children that like troubles. It's not dangerous however you do not want to have your night ruined by drunk teenagers, peeing on the beach.
Things I would recommend is to do the water-sports activity with Glass Evolution or Jet Atlantic Evasion. I would also recommend equestrian activities on the beach or around the forest with Manege des Platenes. I definitely recommend getting a rain coat just in case it rains all of a sudden in La Baule.
Great place to see the Atlantic Ocean!

La Baule has everything you need for a good break away, restaurants, café's, a long beautiful beach, shops, markets; It is very dog friendly, we eat out in lots of places and always took our Golden Retriever dog without any problems. We find it fascinating to walk round the back streets just looking at all the wonderful properties, there are some amazing houses and gardens. We were there for a week and left the car in the garage of the apartment from the first day we got there until we went home, it was easy to walk to everything we wanted to go to.

Lovely large comfortable and clean room with thoughtful touches. Our host was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but plentiful (fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, brioche, bread & cheese). Off road parking. Located in a quiet residential area close to the coast and restaurants.

La Baule is an up market resort within a 9 km sandy bay.
La Baule is an up market resort within a 9 km sandy bay. There are many shops, good quality restaurants, bars, hotels and beautiful historic villas. Nearby are interesting sites to explore such as Guerande, a perfectly preserved, medieval walled town and Le Croisic a charming, picturesque fishing port. My husband and myself stayed for three nights. We enjoyed it very much and would definitely recommend.
The apartment is extremely well equipped with everything one could wish for. The balcony overlooks the ocean, there is a busy road in between, though. The view of the ocean is marvellous. Restaurants on the beach are nearby. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the shops in both La Baule and Pornichet.
exceptional concierge Mikael helped us out the day of arrival when our un drivable rental car was not replaced by Hertz. we were stranded in a small town 3 hrs from the hotel. He helped us find transportation out and to another town to rent another car. a stressful situation solved by Mikael.
A wonderful stay in this beautiful family house. Absolutely spotless, the owner keeps the house to the highest standards and is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are excellent value for money and very spacious. A good breakfast and sage advice. This is a great place to stay in la Baulle.
A beautiful hotel in a fantastic location that was close to the centre of La Baule but still incredibly quiet. The room was well sized and the bed very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again when we visit La Baule again!
The hotel is a beautiful villa 20 minutes walk from the train station and five minutes walk from the beach. The room was large and bright and the bed was big and very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. Staff very friendly. I would absolutely stay here again.
The hotel is in a great location, very close to the town centre, beach and the market. There was also parking on site. Breakfast was fantastic, great selection of delicious bread, cereals, jams etc. Our room had an extra large bed and plenty of space.
Everything about this hotel was excellant. The receptionist couldn't have been more helpful. She made extra effort for secure parking for our motorcycles, directed us to the best local entertainment area by the marina and was genuinely very pleassant.
Lovely small hotel with very high standard of decor and well appointed and comfortable room. Really convenient next to the train station and a short walk to the centre of town and the beach. Also very quiet. Breakfast was generous and delicious.
Friendly & helpful staff, room was very clean & comfortable, the hotel is also in a great position being only a couple of minutes away from the main street with all the shops and restaurants. The beach is also just 5 minutes walk away.
Beautiful and centrally located small privately run hotel with only a few rooms. Pleasant atmosphere. Nice garden, good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful landlady. We would come back immediately.
