The staff was very responsive and willing to be flexible with my limited French. They totally helped when we got soaked three times in two days and had lots of wet clothes. Breakfast was tasty. Location was awesome.

Lovely chalet-style hotel a short walk from the centre of Villers-sur-Mer. The owners were great - friendly and helpful. The pool was great for a refreshing dip after a trip to the beach. Breakfast buffet was good too.

A great location with beautiful sea views, convenient parking, updated clean bathroom, comfortable room, lots of efficient little storage shelves. Attentive staff. The best was the magnificent breakfast, which was included in the price. There was fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh coffee brewed from beans, fresh tea made from organic leaves, all sorts of fantastic fresh products from Normandy, including great cheeses, jams, pastries, etc. A true joy.

We always stay in hotel Falaise when coming back to Normandy. It is our favourite seaside town. In future we will request a room on the basement floor as the stairs are quite tiresome with heavy suitcases. Lovely French hotel with friendly staff.

Villa Rene was an unexpected surprise. Behind a non-descript gray door was one of the best places we ever stayed. We found the address easily and confidently. Our room was spacious, very clean and quiet. The bathroom is beautifully renovated and modern. Lovely windows to the street and garden. The location was second to none. 2 blocks from the beach and steps from the walking street. Shops and cafes so close with the best bakery right on the corner. The ATM and grocery were only a couple minutes walk. All of this, but the best part was our hostess Edith! She helped us find free parking , select and make reservations for dinner, and prepared the most gracious breakfast for us. She even served us preserves she had made. Her sense of hospitality, humor and kindness added to our trip. If we were ever back in the area, we certainly would stay here again.
