The cabins are in a great position on the waterfront, with lovey views out to sea, BUT don't expect to be on the beach, as the only access to the beach is via a ramp, and at high tide there is no beach! Bowen is great for a weekend away to relax and unwind, greys bay is great to have paddle in the kayak or SUP. Bowen hotel is a good pub for families with an indoor A/C playground, and other good food venues to pick. Horseshoe bay is a must and the walk is brilliant to.

Handy location. Comfortable modern unit. Only about 50 meters to the nearest bar & restaurant at the Grand View Hotel, where they sold really good meals, & to the shops in the Main Street. A short stroll to the front beach & a pleasant walk to the wharf. Pizza Hut in the Main Street, Cove restaurant at Grays Bay beach provided excellent meals. Rosebay cafe & The Sisters were open for really good breakfasts plus Jochheims pies & Arabon prawns great for lunch. Enjoyed the drive & view up Flagstaff hill plus the Sunday market at Queens beach.

I was very surprised by Bowen.
I was very surprised by Bowen. I had no idea it was as incredibly beautiful as it was. The scenery was amazing as was the local streets. It was fantastic to see nil weeds growing on the edges of the roads as you were driving around. Just a tip though, the cafe, Horseshoe Bay Cafe, gave extremely poor service. The staff brought our breakfast out amazingly quickly but we discvovered that there were no forks at our table, just knives. We went to one of the waitstaff and asked for forks and she replied that there wer none. I went to an empty table and took clean forks from there. The breakfast was really nice, but I had finished my bacon and eggs on toast before our coffee arrived, which was ordered at the same time. It was very disappointing.

Sunsets are amazing taken in from the apartment balcony or down overlooking the water with a cocktail from the Chinese restaurant - food there is amazing too. The Cafe on Horseshoe Bay has the best coffee in town and a cracker breakfast menu. Be sure to book in, overlooks the bay. Snorkel or paddleboard straight off the beach at the resort or head around to any of the various bays within a 10 minute drive. This place is a hidden treasure!Van MuyenAustralia

From the moment we arrived and were met with friendly reception staff everything was great. We had a very nice cabin for two people. It had everything we wanted, including a comfortable bed. The bathroom was bigger than the ones usually encountered in cabins. The park itself was busy as it was school holidays but it was clean, quiet and tidy. Security seemed good and we'd have no problem returning here on any future visits to Bowen.

Took the stand up paddle board out right infront of our cabin. Kids played on the beautiful grass area out front with other guests while I read a book and watched the water. Big park area next door was great for kids to ride play football and the markets were there on Sunday. Laundry was great and the staff so friendly. We will stay there again if we make it back to Bowen.

The landscaped gardens are very well kept. Some of the rooms have spectacular views. It is very family friendly. The rooms are big, comfy bed and good Aircon. Shower was great size, nice big fridge-freezer. Cafe at Horseshoe Bay is wonderful. I have stayed before and really enjoyed the experience.
