The location is stunning, Cape Otway is a great midway base along the great ocean road. Its easy to get to. Make sure to allow time for a wander and time to enjoy wine / cheese and watching the sunset. For an extra wow, get up and enjoy the sunrise! Next time we would stay at least a few nights.

Even though it appeared expensive to get the see a lighthouse. The walks the building itself and other attractions take awhile, so it is not a quick trip. It will take some time to get the most of the experience The cafe provided good food and the sighting of it meant you get a great view of the lighthouse as you eat. The plaques are informative and we particularly enjoyed reading those to do with the 2nd.W.W.

Don’t book here unless you are prepared for a substandard experience in terms of how the house was presented. The flies were awful we had thousands every day coming down the chimneys which was a real health hazard. Kitchen utensils missing, bbq not working, kettle blew the fuse box the lust is endless . But we love lighthouses and the structure and ambience were still discernible but the management are doing NOTHING to enhance ones stay and, it’s $500 per night for which you expect somewhat more. Compared with somewhere like Gabo lighthouse there is just NO comparison - shame really

    Great unique location.

Great unique location. Very simple room with a kitchenette providing exactly what we wanted. Arrived around 5pm which was enough time to walk around the surrounding area. Went up the lighthouse in the am. Great views of the coast and stars at night. Saw two kangaroos. Loved it.

It’s an unusual location and all the better for that.

It’s an unusual location and all the better for that. Remote and weather beaten which is to be expected, but great views of the sea, lots of history and plenty of wildlife on view. Wallabies on site and Koala’s easy to spot in the forest leading up to it. The wonderful staff are welcoming and helpful. A memorable stay.

We stayed in an eco cabin. It had everything we needed. We was able to park the car next to the cabin. It was about a 40 min walk to the Cape Otway Light Station through fields and shrubbery. There are a few steps but is generally an easy walk. We went on the walk early on a spring morning and was plagued by lots of flies, so be prepared. The host in the office was flexible and gave us lots of useful tips for our onward journey. We saw lots of birds, a fox, kangaroos and a koala within an hour of getting there.

We stayed 2 nights in the Lodge B&B (beware no breakfast - although they do stock cereal, bread and milk so you can self serve in the room). This is a special place due to the location inside a historic site, Cape Otway lighthouse station. At night it gets very windy but the sky is clear and you can see the galaxy with bright stars etc. It is off the Great Ocean Road with drive of 15 minutes from the turn off. From here driving to 12 Apostles will be 1 hour 15 minutes. Apollo Bay 30 minutes.

Cape Otway Lightstation is an amazing location. When the Lightstation precinct closes for the day all you can hear is the sound of the ocean & wildlife. It is so beautiful & peaceful. The Lightstation Studio was very cosy & comfortable - perfect for a couples getaway. The uninterrupted views of the Lightstation from our cottage were breathtaking. A tasty Continental Breakfast & Lightstation Tower Climb were included as part of the accommodation package - a nice touch.

Gorgeous location ! Being able to stay there when everyone had left for the day and being able to walk around in the grounds. Also watching a sunset and getting fabulous photos with the coast and lighthouse. The lodge was very authentic and comfortable. The food was yummy for breakfast. All the people we dealt with on site were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. A highlight for our trip was staying at Cape Otway.

Great campsite just north of Cape Otway. I stayed in a dormitory (which I had to myself) which was very cosy and clean; for an extra price they gave me linen, towels and two big blankets. Bathroom and kitchen/lounge facilities were good as well. Make sure to spot the koalas in the morning up in the trees! All in all, a nice stay!

What a memorable stay — the highlight of our trip to the Great Ocean Road! We stayed in a beautiful deluxe cabin in the rainforest with koalas and kangaroos, and rosellas and other beautiful birds all around. We met people from all over the world and shared the wonder and beauty of this lovely place. Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff, my room was clean and had everything I needed. Location was perfect right in the Cape Otway Forest. And Koalas just outside our room. Literally the photo I have uploaded of my dad right next to a koala was taken about 100m away from our room in bimbi park

The scenery is amazing and it was awesome to have it (almost) all to ourselves after the park closed for the night. The stars were incredible, and we saw lots of different animals during the day. The lighthouse guided tour was also great!

If you want to stay in a place surrounded by nature this is it! The koala's really are in the trees above you. Great walk to the lighthouse. We had a powered cabin. Basic but clean and all essentials provided. Friendly staff.

Great location for spotting koalas - we saw about half a dozen, including some with baby koalas. Also a nice starting point for a walk down to the cape otway lighthouse. Cabin was well equipped and warm.

What a great place. The staff couldn't have been nicer. It's deep in the national park, with a walking track to the beach that's filled with animals. We saw a koala about 300 meters from the property!
