Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.
Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall, or Glockenspiel, in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.
For great shopping, Karlsplatz is a pedestrian zone which takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse is yet another commercial wonderland. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.
Thanks to efficient S-Bahn train, getting to the city center from Germany’s second busiest airport, Munich International Airport is quick and easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, youth hostels or comfortable apartments, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Munich visit.
Munich in March- still very busy! In some parts can be very seedy as with any city. Lots of beggars, barber shops and kebab shops with men gathered in doorways all smoking furiously. Beautiful architecture and this place is HUGE! 3 days was not nearly enough.

Munich has much more to offer than just downtown.
Munich has much more to offer than just downtown. All the areas around it are lovely and interesting. A lot of green areas and plenty of stuff to do. The public transport is very accesibile and not too crowded. Walking by the Isar river was a very nice experience that I recommend. Great asian restaurants. A lot of the service staff doesn’t speak english well but they manage just right. The Olympic park is also great and has a lot of areas where you can just relax and enjoy nature.

There is plenty to do in Munich, and using the subway is straightforward.
Really easy to get around, and a perfect base to travel to other locations, for example, a day trip to Salzburg or Neuschwanstein.
Would recommend the Hop-on Hop-off bus, and a visit to the Allianz Arena is great for football fans. The English Garden is great, as is the Hofbrauhaus.

Great City. Beautiful churches. Very pleasant to walk around. Interesting for those up on German history. Shopping for economy and high budgets. Need more supermarkets in downtown area if you are on a budget. Good food. Excellent Wurst. S Bahn and U Bahn easy to navigate.
I want to go back!! Oh yes. Good Museums and in good weather a beautiful Englischer Garden.

We loved how easy it was to get around!
We loved how easy it was to get around! The people are very friendly and helpful.
We felt EXTREMELY safe everywhere we went no matter what time it was.
The food and beer and excellent and a lot cheaper than in the US.
Recommend the hour train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Beautiful town, and take gondola up the Bavarian Alps.
It was my second experience in the Numa apartments. The first one was in Florence, and the second in Munich. It was really amazing. I walked to city center, it takes 40-45 minutes. If you want to use transport, there is u2 subway close to apartment. So after 10 minutes you will be in city centre (sendlinger tor), after one station it is munchen hauptbahnof.
The room is so clean, modern decorated. There are some snacks, beer and lemonade for free. In a word one of my best stays! Thank you for everything.
Location is the best. The breakfast was very good and definitely worth its cost. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. In general it is an old school hotel with all the small supportive facilities which are now missing from the new automated high tech new small hotels. Some parts of the hotel are under renovation which shall only make it better. Definitely my new first choice in Munich center.
If you want to see Munich without a car, the Gambino is a solid budget choice. Located within a 5 minute walk is a major train/subway hub, a bus stop, and multiple restaurants. Rooms are kept pretty clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. (Note: There is a train that leaves the airport and practically drops you on the doorsteps of this hotel in about the same time it takes to drive.)
The hotel was in a great location, within a 10 minute walk to the Munich Central Station and about a 20 minute walk to Marienplatz.
It is a very stylish hotel and the staff are friendly and helpful. The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast! It’s presented beautifully and it’s excellent!
The room we stayed in was a junior suite that looked out onto a courtyard, so it was quite.
The hotel offers good accommodation for a short trip to Munich or for business related trips. Stuff is helpful and the hotel is located within walking distance to a subway station. The room was clean and complementary water is provided. There are also various grocery shops, bakeries and a pub close to the hotel. You will reach Munich city centre within 15-25 minutes by public transport.
Great location, very close to the Hauptbahnhof central station and local Trams.
We found the staff very friendly, and approachable. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails in the hotel bar (Fantastic).
Our room was a city view, lovely room with all amenities we required.
We'd highly recommend the Boutique Hotel Atrium Munich for anyone looking for a city centre location.
Spacious, clean, and comfortable room. In a really pretty, scenic area of Munich. The staff was also very kind and answered all our questions. The hotel is also right behind a Rossman's which was perfect for grabbing water/snacks when we needed to, and also about a 2 min walk to the nearest u-bahn station that leads right to the city centre.
Very good location to get to the airport at early or late hours, with an hourly train service. Easy to get to the city centre with underground service. Quiet area, with a few very nice restaurants and the hotel has great breakfast, well worth the cost. We didn't try the dinner restaurant, but it smelled and looked good and was always lively.
Too be Honest I was Concerned at how far from Munich City Centre it was, however the hotel has excellent taxi bus, and S bahn Services a Bayern card is 26 euros for all day travel on the S bahn. Hotel was nice and staff were friendly and helpful the Check in on line is very good. Rooms were Nice and Food was good as well. Would Reccemend.
My 7 year-old loved the bunk bed! It’s very hard to find a hotel with a bunk bed over a double bed, perfect if you have a young child in the room with you. We were also able to watch the fireworks from our hotel window. Travelling from the hotel to Munich city centre was very easy since the U3 stops very close to the entrance.
Modern, confortable hotel close to the city centre and next to a transport hub, although probably not the best neighbourhood of Munich. Parking is in the nearby car parking (15 EUR per day). Room is large and very well equipped. Covid measures are rigorously observed (e.g. disposable plastic gloves at the buffet breakfast)
The hotel lies outside the city centre of Munich. However, you can quickly get to there by public transport in around 20 minutes (having to switch trains/buses once). It is great that you can rent bikes free of charge. You can take them to cycle through the English garden into the city centre within roughly 30 minutes.
Hotel Uhland was the best lodging experience we have ever had in Europe. The room was first rate in every way. Our concierge was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was a couple of blocks from the U-bahn with great connections. Munich is a civilized gem.
Location is a couple of minutes walk from the S bahn and just past that is the Munich city centre, very easy walking.
The hotel itself is on a fairly quiet street set a bit away from the main road. The breakfast was good too.
The location was close to the train station (1 block). Close to the express train that goes to the Munich airport. Also walking distance to the Old Town center. Lots of places to eat close to the hotel.
There is no better location in Munich city center than close to the main station. Walking distance to the train station. The area is full of restaurants and hotels. Walking to the city center is 5 minutes
Smart hotel with modern comfortable room, with Parking option. Located close to Underground station & tram services providing connections into Munich City Centre
