Nice town, lots of activities to keep you occupied. Cycling and hiking popular with many different routes to explore. Had a very good meal at U Nautic Restaurant, on main street close to the main square.

Wonderful scenery with lakes and forests all around. Great walking and cycling routes. Plenty of good restaurants with quality food. Boat trips are recommended. The town centre was a bit congested with cars, but then it was the peak of the season.

A tiny charming town on the lake with a very relaxed atmosphere. A place to get away from the big city. A perfect location to enjoy cycling or walking across the national park. There are a lot of bus and lake routes too.

Waren is a lovely small town, right on the largest inland...
Waren is a lovely small town, right on the largest inland lake in Germany. We found two great watering holes, the Irish Pub and Live Underground. The bar person, Julia, was absolutely wonderful, can highly recommend both places. Also a good place to eat in the town is U-Nautical. If you like Chinese food, try Asia Special Buffet Lotus. There are plenty of ice-cream parlours, fish restaurants, etc., so something to cater for all tastes. As it is a fishing town, try the fresh fish at least once. Take a boat trip (lasting 2 hours) or hire your own boat, a definite must. We had a great time, so can recommend this location. A bit touristy - seems to be very popular with German tourists.

The buildings as well as the garden are very beautiful. The rooms as such were fine, but not exceptional. Breakfast was good, and we could store our bicycles safely in a locked bicycle garage overnight. The hotel is a little outside the town, but still within walking distance to a number of shops and restaurants. The habour was bustling, and we enjoyed our stay despite the weather.

Just across the street was a nice and small place where you can enter the lake and bath. Nice hotel, building, garden, and the bungalows.
