Altenmarkt is a cute little town nestled in the Alps. I’m sure the high season is winter, as it’s clerks a ski town. It’s still a beautiful spot in the summer, with cute restaurants and shops. Overall, a lovely pit stop on our way to Sloveni.

Altenmark is a small willage, but you can find a lots of shops and restaurants there, but we were so busy that we didnt go. We spend most of the time skiing, Flachau is just 15 min drive. Perfect for kids is aqua therme, swimming pool with big waves, hot water, tobogans etc and for others really great spa, with 5-6 different saunas.

Altenmarkt im Pongau is very nice city with a big numer of restaurants, cafe, hotele, boutiques, sport shops. There were also a few supermarkets. It was also a possibility to rent a ski even in the city, not only next to slopes. Altenmarkt is situated very close to Flachau or Radstad - Ski Amade Resort (10 minutes by car). It was also a cross-country skiing way near to the city but unfortunately there were No signs in the city center How to find it.AdamPoland - 10Scored 10

Small quiet town with beautiful church, lots of restaurants and hotels. We were in the Urbisgut hotel and it was great. Skibus stops on every part of this town, which is very comfortable. It is easy to go to huge ski-resorts Schladming or Flachau but we recommend smaller ones - Zauchensee or A

Everything in brand new and designed with a lot of thought and effort. The apartments are beautiful, even more in reality, and very quite. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Breakfast was more than adequate with an excellent choice available, whilst our ‘half board’ package included a wonderful 5 course meal accompanied by outstanding service. All staff were friendly and very customer service focussed. Parking was also available.

We were driving to Italy, and it was SO CONVENIENT-- just off the motorway. However, this is a hotel that I would like to come back to and spend a few days. The hotel is clean and updated. A bar with outside seating and places for children to hang out. There is obviously a lot to do in the area. And a terrific restaurant adjacent.
