I’ve been traveling to Vanuatu since 2018. I’ve stayed in nearly every “budget,” a bunch of affordable, and a few ritzy spots. This spot for its price cannot be beat. Clean, running water, overly accommodating staff. Seriously, they washed my clothes and offered me a bigger room because it was available. What set them apart is they refunded me for the first night of my three night stay since I was unable to check in until day two because of a flight delay. And they let me check in at 9am because the room was ready! Look. Vanuatu is a silly expensive country. I’d say ludicrous at times. This hotel is worth it. Work with the staff and they will ensure you have working A/C, wi-if (given no storms), a bed, and a quiet space in the heart of Vila (which is very hard to find).

Breakas delivered exactly what we were looking for: three days of pure relaxation, floating on pool noodles in the infinity pool, watching surfers catching waves on the reef and the village children enjoying their late afternoon swim in the sea. We loved how simple and uncomplicated it is: the tropical fruit breakfasts, fares made of local materials and the lush garden setting.
