It’s hard to summarize how perfect this hotel was for our first visit to Amsterdam! Truly fantastic location (and walkable from train station!) Our room had a charming view over a small street and was so comfortable. Very luxurious sheets, pillows etc. The hotel itself was impeccable - lovely restaurant, bar, and lobby. The staff impressed me with their knowledge and friendly advice. They were able to check us in early at no charge and made every effort to make our visit comfortable, effortlessly switching to perfect English. They made several recommendations for dining and logistics for our departure. Spa was beautiful and relaxing - such a great way to unwind after traveling!! Fabulous in every way!

The 'Gold' rooms ('Deluxe' on booking.com) have the most amazing views! The Spa tub in the room is very good. Although a bit far out of the center, the nearby train/bus stations make travel easy at any time of day. We did not eat at the restaurant so cannot comment on the food. Will likely come here again in the future!

Everything is outdated and looks tired. Needs a spruce up for the price being charged. To charge for Linen and then provide torn sheets. No towels. Dirty and broken shower. Narrow uncomfortable beds...the list goes on.. Just not a nice experience overall and regret booking this place

There is not much at all in Halfweg town in terms of bars...
There is not much at all in Halfweg town in terms of bars and restaurants, but it is easy to jump on the train to Harleem, Zandvoort or Amsterdam Central. Droompark is nice, I really loved the greenery, the woods, lakes and the peacefulness of the park and I would stay again.

Halfweg itself is a small village, with not much to it. The location is literally halfway between Haarlem and Amsterdam though and the surroundings are nice for cycling and walking. Stayed here whilst on a work trip in Amsterdam and loved the relaxed vibe at the end of each day. Plus we could park our van beside the accommodation. Only a 15 minute walk to the train station which went regularly into Amsterdam Central and Haarlem.karynUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Halfweg is a lovely town, its name, which translates as "halfway," comes from its location approximately halfway between Haarlem and Amsterdam (proxy. 8 km (5.0 mi). Very quite and accessible., with very nice people. There are supermarket's where you can shop at very good price. There are trains running from 15 to 15 minutes, going to Amsterdam, Haarlen, Den Haag, Rotterdam , etc.

During workingsdays mostly constructionworkers were staying as guests.
