This is a really nice little cosy hotel. Very clean, comfortable bed, silent and nicely decorated. Staff was very helpful and helped us find a better parking at lower cost. Breakfast was well stocked and good variation. Very positive experience.

Why stay in town in a boring hotel when you can get the county side luxury living just 10m from Falun center.
When we arrived 2 deers were running down the field.
It is like staying with family but still private.

A really lovely city and very welcoming to visitors.
A really lovely city and very welcoming to visitors. Everywhere we went the people we polite and helpful. I can't recall a bad experience from our trip. The mine is a must-do, in particular the little café near the edge of the pit is a gem. There is a co-op supermarket opposite the mine that is a great place to shop (yes, I'm actually excited about a supermarket it was that nice!) and did the lake near the city centre is surrounded my a lovely park and path to walk along. Can't wait to visit again!

Great city for 2-3 days stay.
Great city for 2-3 days stay. A lot of hidden gems to discover - Falu Gruva (the mining site), the museums (I especially recommend the Lugnet area - with the museum of ski jumping. A lot of green places or, if you like, craft beer pubs, nice, local cafeterias and helpful people. Extremely cheap (and good) Indian buffets and the size of the city allows visiting everything on foot.AgnieszkaVietnam

Quiet location, coming from the city one can really relax here and take a look on the hostel own gardens with vegetables and fruits. Since it‘s a hostel and not a hotel it‘s a complete different experience especially for the kids with the shared bath and toilet. They also liked the trampoline in the garden. The porridge was much better then in a four star hotel.

In the cottage, everything is perfect down to the last detail - from the main living-/bedroom to the kitchen and private sauna. Around the cottage, there are several hiking trails within walking distance, and by car it’s a few minutes to the city of Falun or -during winter time- the skiing areas of Borlänge and Bjursås. Check-in by door code and key box worked fine when no staff is around.

It is great to have different types of boats / kayaks at your disposal to tour the lake (without motor). The lake is also great to bath in, in summer, although parts of the shore can be muddy (a small area is sandy).
