Hotel was great with wonderful views.
Hotel was great with wonderful views. But the breakfast at the service station is terrible. Do yourself a favour and travel 5 mins south to a much much better option. The next junction south has a truckers cafe just off the main road with ample parking. the food was brilliant and well priced. Despite being situated at a service station just off the M74 the location is beautiful with lots of wildlife around. The room was quiet and very clean, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom also clean and well-equipped with bath/shower, shaver socket and excellent lighting. The receptionist, Lynne was welcoming and helpful. Handy hint – stop off in Moffat (south of here) for cheap fuel, and for food in the 'Rumbling Tum' cafe.
