Staff were great and breakfast of champions, Went for a run around the village and neighbouring village scenery was lovely. Had a drive into Chesterfield to see the Spire and had a fantastic meal ad Odyssey Greek Restaurant.

I went to see Cresswell Craggs, about 15 minutes away. This is so far the only place in the UK where you can see Paleolithic rock art - not quite Lascaux or Altamira yet but future excavations may find more examples. Nice museum/shop with good cafe and a fine day out. Lovely scenery.

TV didnt work and couldnt be fixed for 2 days.
Ordered vegetarian breakfast but no available the second day as no one had let the kitchen know.
Really awful was the wagons parked up within 30 feet of the window that kept their engines running for hours. No sleep till they left.

Superb stopover location with easy access to M1- the accommodation was as expected clean affordable efficiency with no formalities with welcoming staff and greet bar area to "chill out" after a long journey.
Surrounded by a choice of eateries within walking distance makes for relaxed stopover or break
The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The bed was very comfy and the room clean. Great for a one night stay. We had the room with a private bathroom. This wasn't an issue at all there were other guests staying we didn't hear or see them upstairs at any point. Infact we only knew about them at breakfast. We were a little later going for breakfast but nothing was too much trouble and it was a better breakfast than the 5 star hotel I had stayed at the previous week for work!
The room was clean and comfortable and the location was convenient for me. However, the thing that really made the stay was the excellent staff. They were all incredibly friendly, cheerful and helpful. Overall the hotel was quiet and I slept well which is always an important consideration for me. Breakfast was good too and the bacon and hash browns were excellent!
We had a fantastic stay as soon as we arrived , bed so comfortable had a perfect 3 nights sleep, breakfast we loved fantastic choice s , finally bar and location was perfect , would come back n stay here . Well done too staff for all their work within hotel .
This hotel offers basis facilities that are clean and presentable. It was a very good price for few nights stay to visit relatives. Well located near the motorway and options for food and drink close by in walking distance.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They accommodated my request for a disabled friendly room with no problems at all. The hotel was immediately accessible from the M1 and had several eateries around it.
ALL OF OUR TWO DAYS. FRIENDLY HELPFUL STAFF. CLEAN HOTEL. GOOD VALUE BREAKFAST. AND BEING ABLE TO TAKE MY WELL BEHAVED DOG WAS A BONUS. WE WILL HOPEFULLY BE BACK.
