What a lovely place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The people and the service are amazing, 10+ out of 10. Not only did they help get our luggage up the stairs, they found umbrellas for us to use on our outings and were there at every turn for anything we might need. The bar staff are super friendly and the cook was amazing. Breakfast is the best I've had, and there were several menu items to choose from. We stayed in the small apartment and really enjoyed having a separate area to watch TV and relax. All in all, we loved our stay here. We would like to return again some day and spend more time with these wonderful people. They truly are the best! ❤️

Beautiful location, very quiet. The host was very responsive when we were confused about the parking instructions. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment felt very spacious. We were able to take advantage of the good weather to sit outside and have dinner at the table. The shower was excellent and the bathroom was nicely sized. The location could not have been more convenient for visiting our relatives on Lower Westwood, and the grocery store was only about a mile away.

Walked down hill to get to the centre to find some where to have dinner on Sunday evening.
Struggled back up the hill, rather steep.
Ate at Ravello, good food.
Walked around the church area.
Sure more available other days and earlier in the day.

Lots of character and interesting shops.
Lots of character and interesting shops. Choice of eating establishments. Plenty of places for children and dogs. Parking could be a problem. Proximity to river and canal. Plenty of opportunities for walking. Narrow streets cause driving challenges! Lots of charity shops have opened in the past few years. Some interesting historical places to see.

Lots to see, most places easy to access, local artists and creators well supported, unusual and historical architecture, friendly locals, lots of amenities, dog friendly locations, regular bus and trains, lovely canal and boats, tythe barn, Saxon church, vehicular and pedestrian bridges, easy walk around the centre of the town as mainly flat (some more adventurous walks available if interested) , not too crowded (it was January) and easy to get to the centre and find parking, day trips on canal if you are not confident enough to skipper your own

Beautiful place to spend a day or two but a little short of proper pubs.
Tea and coffee shops are in plentiful supply.
Taking a good look around the back streets is a must as they are really interesting with lots of
oldy worldy cottages.

It's an historic town with lots of interesting architectural features. There isn't really a town centre as such, and a main road runs through the middle, rather spoiling it. Lovely churches (one of which is Saxon). It's quite a hilly area so not easy walking round.

One of the most compelling characteristics of Bradford on...
One of the most compelling characteristics of Bradford on Avon is its unique location on the edge of the Cotswolds facing the River Avon.
The ancient bridge in the town’s centre remains its natural focus and it still retains two of its original 13th-century arches. The historical view from the main bridge incorporates the hill above the town which is dotted with the old weavers' cottages. The riverbank is flanked with 19th-century former cloth mills.
Visitors to Bradford on Avon get the best of everything – shopping, accommodation, restaurants and inns, river, canal and amazing local history at every turn.

Wish I had planned my whole trip around staying here. So gracious and welcoming, such a little slice of heaven. Bradford on Avon is delightful and well worth a visit. Bath is a 20 min direct train ride away. Stone Henge is a stone's throw away. There are numerous walking, boating, and biking opportunities and great restaurants. The room itself was immaculately clean and comfy with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast choices are varied and all delicious.
Our room was very cosy. It had everything we needed for a short stay. The shower room is big and was always warm. They have some lovely animals on the farm. The games room is great! There's lots of family games to play. We recived a lovely warm welcome from the hosts. They helped us with an early check-in and were contactable throughout our stay. It's a great location to explore Bradford on Avon and Bath. We would definately stay here again.
The hotel stands in very attractive grounds and gardens. We had a lovely room - spacious, comfortable and clean. It was just a short distance from Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon. We enjoyed the canal walks and the beautiful architecture in both towns, though Bradford is particularly special - a mini Bath.
We ate in the restaurant and found the food and service to be excellent.
We would definitely return when next in the area.
Really helpful staff; fabulous top quality breakfast with a great range of options; spacious and comfortable room; very clean; great location. 3 minute walk from the train station - 10 mins in to Bath. Excellent range of local shops, cafes, restaurants within very short distance. All of the amazing tourist attractions, canal and country walks are on the hotel doorstep. Perfect place to explore Bradford on Avon.
The accommodation was in central Bradford on Avon. The parking was free, but located in a car park which was away from the hotel - by the train station, and NOT the carpark right next to the hotel, so unload then go and park. The staff said it was a 1 minute walk. (I'd review that if you are over 60) Easy to walk along the river or to the canal - both were really pretty.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They rectified as best they could any difficulties we had in the room regarding lighting and the provision of a mirror. I will definitely be returning when we visit family in Bradford on Avon. Cosy accommodation with fires in bar area and dining area. Really lovely olde worlde listed building.
Atmospheric pub hotel with a great breakfast and friendly team in a truly beautiful town, but in need of some love and care and not as clean as it could be.
The saving grave was breakfast. It was far better than we imagined - offering a small menu selection of cooked alternatives which were very good and started the day on a positive note.
This is one of the best places we have stayed. So comfortable for us and our 7 year old. It had everything you needed and more. Beautiful place, we will definitely be back. Every little thing has been thought of and I have to mention the linen.... It smelt incredible..
Bradford on Avon was a stunning place to visit.
As always Bradford on Avon was beautiful, first time at Castle Inn & like most things in the town it didn't disapoint. The meals were amazing & dinner very competitively priced, great that it's a Free House so plenty of drink choices.
Anyone looking for a pet friendly stay....highly recommend.
Staff were excellent.
We had a wonderful mini break in Bradford on Avon. Paul was an extremely welcoming host and provided us with lots of useful tips for places to explore during our stay. The accommodation was very comfortable and very conveniently located. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
Traditional large country house. large clean room, period furniture although a little tired.
Nice setting, very quiet with magnificent views over the countryside.
Walk into Bradford on Avon around 15 minutes where can find lots of places to eat & drink.
Ample on site parking.
A nice hotel within walking distance to Bradford on Avon. Staff were generally friendly, especially the breakfast waiting staff. A good feature to have the pool, which our child enjoyed. Breakfast was good. We didn’t use the bar but it looked nice and well-stocked.
Can't fault anything, nice little touch having some milk, a lovely fresh loaf of bread and even a newspaper in our accommodation. So peaceful and stunning location, all within a few minutes of the centre of Bradford on avon.
Location was good for Bradford on Avon and the breakfast cooked to order with home made compote and Marmalade was excellent . Suzanne is a very friendly informative host who offers home comforts in this peaceful location .
it was a beautiful peaceful spot, close to Bradford on Avon, Longleat Forest and a range of lovely villages in Wiltshire.I stayed in Billy Bunter - wonderful decor and attention to detail. Bijou and beautiful.
Small idyllic location that gives a one to one personal touch that you won’t get from a mainstream hotel. Staff are kind and look after you and were willing to accommodate speacil request.
