What an amazing place to stay, I only wish it was for longer. An excellent breakfast, one of the best I've had while being away, served in the room and accompanied by a beautiful sea view.
Can't recommend highly enough and excellent value for money.

We’ve had the opportunity to stay at other Trump resorts and Turnberry is our favorite so far.
The facilities and grounds are pristine. The room accommodations were oversized and luxurious.
The breakfast in the main restaurant was exceptional and the views of the golf course were postcard beautiful.
We booked the falconry experience but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was cancelled. However, we also booked the archery experience (both are on the resort grounds) and I can’t say enough how much fun we had.
Kudos to every single staff person at Turnberry. You’ve made our stay truly memorable. We look forward to returning.
Located on the scenic Ayrshire coastline, Turnberry Apartments are only 5 minutes' walk from the beautiful beach and only 10 minutes’ walk from the championship Ailsa Golf Course.

This is an amazing place. You will be treated like royalty by the staff. The owner is there on a regular basis to greet and assist. You will NOT be disappointed. This is a once in a lifetime must be experienced.
Girvan is a hidden gem. Gorgeous old buildings. Beautiful, clean beach and harbour. And genuinely friendly people. I had a great curry there too, at Jasmine’s. Art centre, community garden, great library, antique shops and brilliant accommodation at the Southfield Hotel. All easy walking. Surrounding hills and scenic views of Alisa Craig and Arran are stunning.

Great views across the sea to Ailsa Craig.
Great views across the sea to Ailsa Craig.
Apart from that it's a dump!
Noisy Fair across the road from our B&B. Rows of neglected terraced seafront houses and B&Bs. Gangs of noisy kids roaming. Numerous closed and derelict shops on the High Street.
Would never go back again.

The beach was fantastic and clean.
The beach was fantastic and clean. The town centre was closed when we were there but plenty of shops to look around. Fantastic views all around from every road. From mountains to the beach and lots of old historic looking buildings. Lovely harbour to walk on and a you can catch the ferry to Ireland. We enjoyed our overnight stay there. Lovely fish and chips from the fish shop near the harbour. Lots of parking. Everything mentioned was all within walking distance of each other.

A lovely quiet cottage up a lane that houses a few other cottages. The cottage is a short walk from the beach and the town. Beach was clean and had a pleasant promenade. The town has some empty shops at present. The local people were very friendly.

It’s a lovely place for dog walkers or couples or lone travellers to go, for family’s it’s ok but you need to travel into girvan for a decent play park, they have a small kids soft play which will entertain young kids from age of 3-6 years as it wasn’t up to much! There is amusements for the older kids, a lovely harbour and decent enough park, there is also boat trips you can go on aswell! It’s a nice enough place but I’d say it would be more suited to couples rather than families with a few young children! There is a very small asda also and few shops to explore within the town! You also have turnberry lighthouse that you can visit and culzean castle, it’s £30 to walk the grounds of culzean castle without going into that actual castle it’s self!

It's great for kids the beach is spotless.
It's great for kids the beach is spotless. Theres also a play area for kids out the back of the bar restaurant onsite. Food is good and there is a swimming pool which you have to book. Caravan I stayed in was spotless I will definitely be back. Great for family break. 👍👍👍
The room at the top with a full sea view, easy chairs by the window, a double shower and comfortable bed was better than we expected. We were told that we could arrive as late as we needed to (after a long journey) and the generous continental breakfast was available all morning. We used the hotel front garden for an al fresco fish and chip picnic and the guest provided and washed up our crockery. We were offered a glass of wine with our host. They could not have done more to make our stay both comfortable and memorable.
Warm welcome from Gillian. Huge room and separate bathroom in lovely old farmhouse in the hills of Ayrshire. Hot water, lovely bath and toiletries and fluffy towels. Offered to make up a fire for me in the guest lounge. Comfortable bed. Provided decaffeinated tea, fruit, choice of yoghurt and toast with marmalade for breakfast. Quiet location but only 10 to 15 minutes from Girvan which has a parkrun, lovely cafes and shops. Beach and seaside walks at Girvan too.
Unfortunately the restaurant and bar have not yet reopened but we were able to enjoy a delicious meal via room service. There is a local shop selling chilled beer which resolved that problem too. The hotel is clean and very presentable inside and out. Our room was very nice in every way - comfortable bed, great shower, and good size of room. We had all the breakfast, milk and other foods we needed in the well stocked kitchinette.
Our first night in Scotland we checked into the Southfield. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The location was great to get to nearby takeaway and pub, or take a walk to the waterfront. We requested a cot and everything was set up when we arrived and the rooms were lovely and had private updated bathrooms. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and cooked fresh to order. I would definitely stay here again.
The cleanliness, relaxing, modern decor, the beautiful and spacious bathroom. The peace and quiet. Stargazing and seeing the milky way so clearly. Just brilliant. Oh and the lovely welcome prosecco and Cadbury's fingers. They didn't last long!
Great to have a little porch come boot room to leave shoes etc.
Cottage is just a couple of minutes from Girvan town centre but very peaceful. Best of both worlds.
What a lovely, well-equipped home. Very comfortable and the super-king size bed was amazing . Cute courtyard garden for sitting in the sun or watching ovet the water. Or even trying a bit of fishing!
Great hosts, very welcoming with lots of little extras like tea, coffee and biscuits. Would heartily recommend to all for a wee break in Girvan. Hope to return sometime. We loved it ❤
Lovely clean modern property, tastefully decorated and it felt like new. Good sized bedrooms and Sue the host had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Perfectly located to visit Girvan, It was only a short walk to the supermarket, town high street, pubs, harbour and seafront. We would definitely stay again if we head back to Girvan. Thank you Sue.
Great location. Some facilities limited due to covid regulations and the time of year but clearly stated in the accommodation description. Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds and great views. Did not have a lot of interaction with the hotel staff again due to the covid regulations but the owners were very friendly and accomodating.
We had 2 rooms with lovely king sized beds, private bathrooms and a sitting area with kitchenette. Great for families with plenty of space . The staff was very friendly. There was a beach area directly across from hotel to see sunset or enjoy a walk. Close to ferry for traveling back to Northern Ireland
Well appointed and spacious, spotless, convenient parking, easy to find. The restaurant was closed due COVID but we were able ro order a full meal in our room from an extensive menu, delivered to our room. Delicious! Good choice of breakfast items supplied in our kitchenette too.
What an amazing place to stay, I only wish it was for longer. An excellent breakfast, one of the best I've had while being away, served in the room and accompanied by a beautiful sea view.
Can't recommend highly enough and excellent value for money.
Fantastic town house, everything we wanted and more. Had a great time. House was very clean, tidy and very well designed, I will be highly recommending to friends and family to visit. Great location in the heart of Girvan.
There is a beautiful city garden across the street. I had a lovely time strolling through in the early morning.
The hotel served a great meal the evening we were there.
Lovely traditional west coast hotel, welcoming friendly staff, spotlessly clean rooms, comfortable bed, good evening meals, and an excellent breakfast.
