The room exceeded my expectations. Very clean and smartly decorated. Large and very clean bathroom. There was a microwave on the landing to heat up my dinner (which was unexpected). Plenty of free parking. It's out on a limb, but only a short drive from Guisborough, which has all you need.

Good location, was able to park immediately outside the property, the owners kindly registered my car for resident parking for the duration of my stay. House is nicely decorated, has a big kitchen and usefully has a downstairs toilet. The property also has netflix, dishwasher and washer. In the attic room is a cool use of space - a games loft with Nintendo Switch and games.
Wifi is good the property was nice and warm on arrival.

I am from Guisborough. Its a place like a lot of places, it has a lot of closed down shops. But a lot of nice shops and cafes. The hills are close by. Although I would not live there again, I enjoy visiting family and friends. I like shopping there. Good pubs. The buses had changed. This country town has several good pubs, some nice shops and easy access to the coast. We didn’t really spend much time in the town but it has some interesting buildings including the remains of the Priory. Make sure you get a visit to Saltburn and staithes.

An historic building in grand surroundings with easy travelling distance to North York Moors and Whitby. The quality of the furnishings and ambience are very relaxing. The helpfulness of the staff. People who cannot walk far should request a room close to a lift and not too far from the main building. Short people should not have rooms with velux windows as very difficult to reach.

Proximity to Guisborough Woods and the Cleveland Way is excellent for walkers. The refurbishment of this property is excellent. There has been a lot of investment by the owner. Wood burner in the back room was lovely! The large back garden was the reason we chose the property as we have a dog. Everything is new. Proximity to 2 local bakery, cafes and pubs is 5 mins walk. Yet still quiet. Belmangate is a pretty and historic part of Guisborough.

It's central to Guisborough High Street but not noisy at all. There's a small cafe selling good food and coffee about 30 metres from the property. There's also good selection of pubs/micropubs/restaurants within a very short walk of the property. Bathroom and kitchen are particularly nice and the milk/coffee/shower gel were appreciated.
