A very welcoming host Saul. Great location in Harlech, for beach, golf, castle etc. Rooms decorated to very high spec. A good night's sleep! Big TV in our room and we watched some iPlayer. Access to host's kitchen too. Would recommend and hopefully stay here again. The dog Link was friendly too!
Just a 12-minute drive from both Portmeirion and Porthmadog, offers a comfortable room in Talsarnau.

Walked up the steepest street in the northern hemisphere which was challenging - took me about 7 minutes.
Castle is very good.
Nice cheese and beer shop opposite the castle.
It was a good base from which to travel to other towns.

Overlooked by its majestic castle, Harlech should be a wonderful place but underinvestment (and probably the results of the pandemic) have left it with many shuttered shops and closed businesses. A great shame, as it's a shadow of the town it used to be.

Best beach in the world.
Best beach in the world. We spent 3 days on the beach in Harlech and could have spent much longer. Castle is always spectacular.
Travelled around on public transport only, went on Ffestiniog railway.
Great couple of shops in Upper Harlech selling all homewares, and fresh food. Groser Harlech great for breakfast pastries and organic produce.
Lovely walk around to find the 5 Merion chairs.
Woodland walk down from chair 3 to lower road through woodland, a cave and a waterfall in someone's garden.

As the weather wasn’t good.
As the weather wasn’t good. Heavy rain we didn’t get onto the beach as intended or indeed explore the local area as planned. Harlech has a lot to offer as we have been there previously and we intend to visit again. Country side and views are amazing and the Castle restaurant in Harlech does amazing food.

Harlech has a great Castle and an amazing beach (approx 5km long and separated into dog / no dog zones).
There is a lot of self catering accommodation but you really need to travel to the next town (20mins) for a bigger shop. Porthmadog has everything.
If you want to eat out in Harlech, there's very limited choice (we only found 2 good places, both hotels)
Besides the beach and castle, there is golf and good walks. If you after nightlife, probably not for you.
Stayed for 2 nights with my 2 Sisters we had a wonderful time. Hotel is up a steep hill but do not let that put you off as the views are spectacular.
Adam and Tracey are wonderful hosts, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable of the area and generally lovely people. Breakfast was gorgeous with an excellent choice...and vey plentiful. Our room (5) had a beautiful sea view and was peaceful spotlessly clean, well stocked and replenished. We would definitely stay here again.

Very clean room, Water for the shower was nice and hot, and tea and coffee were plenty. The room was big and cosy. No noisy guests.
Breakfast was good too. Would highly recommend it!!!
We were welcomed with a cup of tea and chat with the friendly owner. The bed was large and very comfortable with good pillows and duvet. It was a good temperature. There are 3 upstairs bedrooms with a shared toilet and washbasin. The lights come on automatically. Downstairs is a shared bathroom with shower and a kitchen where you can make a cup of tea. It is very convenient for Harlech Castle or beach/dunes. There's good free parking.
This is a very old building in the center of the village. The rooms have king beds and are immaculate. There are some steps, but they are manageable. There are three parking spaces and a parking lot closer to the castle. The owner is so friendly. She also has a dining room for her guests and a small bar. The motif is airplane, and is decorated in many pictures from their career in the airlines. we enjoyed our stay here.
Great location. Short walk to town center. Brilliant views of the sea from the bedroom window.
The owner was very welcoming even offering to make a pot of tea on our arrival.
The owner had added lots of thoughtful things for the house/room (eg. A small fridge in the room supplied with fresh milk!)
The whole house was scrupulously clean.
The owner gave us lots of local information about the surrounding area.
Hotel room (room 3)was amazing, with large bed, separate sofa area with TV, large bathroom with separate double bath and double shower
Owner Darryl (ex Cathay Pacific commercial pilot) friendly and helpful.
Restaurant decorated very nicely.
Food great but limited selection (previous owner , well renowned chef helping out until chef recruited)
Location was perfect for where we wanted to go each day. Ground floor meant no lugging cases upstairs! Very tasteful & attractive interior. Best equipped kitchen of any property we have used. Good space for the two of us. Lovely gifts [edible] and milk on our arrival! Useful booklet of info about local pub etc.
Everything was exceptional The food ,locaton and the country guest house was the best we have stayed in.
The host was very friendly and nothing was to much trouble for her .Wouldn't stay anywhere else when we are in or around Harlech. The photo's of the house and surrounding area doesn't do it justice.
The Cottage was absolutely fabulous!!!
It had everything that we needed, was lovely and cosy.
The location was perfect a short walk down to the beach, and a short drive into Harlech itself.
We had a lovely stay and can't wait to return, we didn't want to leave
Very warm welcome from Angela who provided useful information on how to reach the beach and local eateries. Large, spotless room with amazing views over Harlech Bay. Very quiet. Lovely breakfast with huge variety offered.
The property for us was in an ideal location, a 20 minute walk from the centre of Harlech, and just 10 mins to the wonderful beach. The cottage is just lovely and if I could rate it higher that the highest I would!
We thought the hotel was excellent value for money and the food was very good with good size portions. Both the owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great views from our room of Harlech Castle
The room was a good size and comfortable, the hotel location was excellent, the food served for breakfast and the evening meal was tasty, the staff were friendly and helpful. The local beach was amazing.
Fabulous hosts directed us to spectacular waterfall walk and stunning village in Snowdonia. Walk out the door and up to the castle or down to the beach after a great breakfast!
Pleasant walk to the Queens hotel and restaurant.Premier shop close by
Good food and drink at Queens.Magnificent backdrop of Harlech Castle on the graggy outcrop.
Breakfast was very good! The size of the room was nice Location was great. The owners are friendly and very helpful when planning things to do in the area.
Exceptional accommodation. Very comfortable and warm. Very comfortable beds. Quiet area. We loved the hot tub! Loads of parking. Very near to the shop.
