The property was in a super location and really well presented.
A cheap and cheerful hotel. Okay for a one or two night stay.
A little tired but value for money as a lot cheaper than other places locally.
Clean and nice touches in room like drinking chocolate and quality biscuits. Comfy bed and nice bedding and towels.
Restaurant and bar areas are lovely, rooms and general hotel needs an update.
Staff are really lovely.
Provided I was in the same room I would use this hotel again for an overnight stay in the Midlands.

The hotel was interesting with lots of little staircases giving it lots of character, the restaurant and the bar were warm and welcoming. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had breakfast there in the mornings, we were visiting Rowley Regis where I had a Judging appointment for dogs, so didn't spend much time in Himley itself. The only problem I had was that our room was right at the top of the hotel and being an older building there are no lifts, I do have mobility issues and normally ask for a disabled room on the ground floor. This hotel only has two ground floor rooms and they get booked up very fast. Other than someone smoking in their room and causing the fire alarm to go off about 1am, it was a nice stay and I have recommended the hotel to the club that I judged for this year.

Wi-fi non existent, let it down as in an area with poor signal which was really disappointing. Staff said they had rebooted however looking at reviews & this is not a new issue, needs to be sorted. Also a spruce up as a little shabby in places. Room was comfortable and checked daily by maid/housekeeping, food was very nice, the staff were really friendly & welcoming.

Awful experience..waited an hour for breakfast.
Awful experience..waited an hour for breakfast. Toilet facilities terrible..toilet did not flush properly..hot water tap made terrible noise and this was supposed to be wedding suite. Room was not cleaned and we where there 2 nights..had to ask for towels and toilet paper.
We ( husband and wife) were allowed to amend our original booking of 4th Feb 2023 twice following illness of my husband due to stay at hotel and death of family member we were planning to visit in Wolverhampton. The staff on the phone on Feb 3 and 17 were helpful and allowed us to transfer our booking to Thursday 23rd Feb so we could meet family to make funeral arrangements.
We loved the building, didn't look like other hotel chains and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We checked in just after 3pm and our room had one double bed and 2 single beds, all comfortable (on hindsight would bring my own pillows next time unless you prefer firm pillows) Also the location meant we were just a small drive way from family and friends.
I really loved the room, I have stayed in some very expensive hotels and yet the room of this hotel made me feel more comfortable and cosy. I absolutely loved the layout and colours it had been painted and was very clean and tidy. The staff were very polite and it was incredibly good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.
The Himley House is a great find as it’s located near family and we will definitely be staying there again. It’s fabulous value for money with very friendly and helpful staff and a lovely restaurant for breakfast and meals. I managed to leave something behind and the staff were excellent at sorting it out.
We didn't participate in breakfast on this occasion..the room was adequate..nice n clean..(as a decorator I found it funny that u have part finnished painted rooms..lol..I can bring my tools next time n finnish it off .free of charge..) I like Himley 👍.
family rooms are great for us. They have single beds for the kids rather than sofa beds like some hotels. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were lovely and a relaxing space for breakfast, dinner, drinks.
I have stayed at the Himley House a number of times, but not for a few years, due to lock down, etc.
It has lost none of its charms as a decent Inn with a proper pub. The food is still very good, both evening meals and breakfast.
