We did not access the property. We knew there was no point .
We did not access the property. We knew there was no point . We had to find alternative accommodation at huge cost and inconvenience. The property was up a steep narrow road, unsuitable for people with mobility issues to walk. There was no reference to this on booking.com website. The car park was situated more than a 5 minute walk away at the bottom and over the road. This was impossible for elderly and disabled to walk to and from. Taking the car up and down would have caused stress as the road does not allow for 2 cars to pass. None of this was explained in the information. Our break was ruined because of serious omissions

This was the third time we had visited the area. Apart from all the museums there is much to see in the area, from various potteries to the Long Mind area of Shropshire - so different from where we live in rural Norfolk.

So much to see in just a few square miles - the people are exceptionally friendly and helpful. If visiting the attractions for a holiday of a few days or more, get a Pass Plus ticket to enable a year of visiting all of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage sites, with free parking at the museum sites at Blists Hill, Coalport, Jackfield and Coalbrookdale, together with reductions in the museum retail outlets and cafes. Visited twice in the past year from Manchester, once in September and again in February. Plenty of good pubs, cafes and places to eat and drink in Ironbridge too, making for a fantastic short break!

The town is charm itself.
The town is charm itself. A perfect mix of independent retailers perfectly situated along the River Severn. The bridge itself is the main attraction but with lots of walks and woodland encompassing it. The people were friendly. There was a Vintage Jean shop that was a favourite of the teens and the second hand book shop. A gorgeous cooked breakfast at the cafe overlooking the bridge. Just a really wonderful location. Plenty of history to explore if you are into that.
The flat was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well.
In general it was well equipped for self catering though some kitchen scissors and a couple of storage boxes would have been useful. Also more tea towels.
An easy walk down to Ironbridge - though harder coming back up! (However the museums are quite spread out so if you want to do several in one day, you need a car).
The little sitting room was great spot for an afternoon cup of tea or a glass of wine
Owner really nice and breakfast was very good. More than enough choice and the cooked breakfast was a nice surprise. The bedroom was what you should expect in a victorian house not very big but well equipped with a huge bathroom on suite.
For me the stand out was how comfortable the bed was and a great sleep.
Location was a bit out of town but you know that when you book and to be fair it meant it was peaceful.
If you want a peaceful pleasant place to stay over look no further
Really good location for exploring Ironbridge as easy to walk to everything in the area. The property was well equipped for self catering purposes, the hosts very thoughtfully provided milk, tea/coffee, biscuits and sachets of condiments. It was also very dog friendly with treats provided. There were lots of towels and the hosts told us to knock on the door if we needed anything, they were also very informative about the local area.
well i can say this is one of the better places i stayed good parking good location and room was very clean and nice and the first place i stayed in last 12 months that has done room service for more than 1 nite stay as most dont do these days but this place is not using covid as a reason not to service room also they supply bottles of cold water which was nice and lady who done breakfast was really nice and made you welcome
Charming owners, comfortable, attractive room with hit drink facility, very nice breakfast. Although no view of the bridge, it's in a good location, very near the tile and porcelain museums, the centre of Ironbridge is a pleasant walk away, along the river. A couple of good pubs are about 5 minutes walk away if you want dinner nearby. I look forward to going back to Ironbridge and staying at Calcutts House again.
The view of the infamous Iron Bridge was stunning, especially at night along with the Christmas lights. The rooms had a lot of extras, such as wine, pieces of cake and with a well stocked fridge with water and fruit juice. I have stayed in hotels that offer less than this Bed and Breakfast. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in this beautiful part of Shropshire.
Everything about our stay was perfect, the hotel is in a great position, it was spotless throughout, very tastefully decorated and the bed extremely comfortable, the en-suite bathroom looked brand new
Full English breakfast was good and the hotel owner was a very pleasant and amicable lady
We would definitely book again without any doubt when staying in Ironbridge 👍🏻
Beautiful historic building and setting. Peaceful, relaxed restaurant with excellent food. Tastefully furnished bedroom with lots of clothes storage space and a lovely fireplace. Plenty of towels. Easily controlled wall heater. Friendly & helpful Reception staff. Short walk into Ironbridge but lovely hillside park area to rear of hotel too.
The Decor was beautiful, our room was spotless and the bed was ultra comfortable. Our use of the private garden terrace really made it special. Our breakfast was delicious, we also had tea and cake on arrival. Mabel the dog made our stay even more memorable. A truly beautiful bed and breakfast, in the heart of Ironbridge.
The property was in a great location for walking the trails around Iron Bridge. It had everything we needed, was super clean, comfortable and dog friendly. Laura was a warm and friendly host, who provided excellent information to set us up before and also during our trip. Easy parking too.
Absolutely beautiful penthouse, far exceeded our expectations, we will definitely stay again. Even though The Malthouse was closed due to a fire The Bakehouse was untouched and absolutely perfect and breakfast was available for us in the Nearby Swan Hotel, which was also superb.
The guesthouse is beautiful - so light and airy and tastefully decorated. The view across the river and Ironbridge is stunning. We enjoyed our chats with the owner Jules and the little touches like fresh milk and cake on arrival/departure!
The Room was great and the mini bar made it not forgetting the cakes. Car parking was available a 200mtrs away safe a secure. Breakfast was icing on the cake
Staff were great Nike was very helpful
Ironbridge is small enough that it hardly matters where the hotel is located. The Swan has pleasant staff and was generally clean (one exception in the "didn't like").
Location perfect for visit to Ironbridge Gorge and Museums. Good, comfortable lounge and kitchen area. Comfortable beds and bedrooms. Convenient for supermarket.
Nice breakfast and really lovely staff. Very helpful at all times. Hotel itself very interesting and in a good location for exploring Ironbridge gorge.
