The location is amazing, very charming common area and garden.
The staff is doing great job at making you feel at ease while doing everything at the same time (check in, food and bar service)
Ideally located in the center of the esplanade in Oban, The Great Western Hotel offers magnificent views of the bay, free Wi-Fi in public areas and en suite guest rooms.

The location is the only thing going for this place.
Located on the Corran Esplanade with panoramic views of Oban Bay and the island of Kerrera, Muthu Alexandra Hotel is less than a mile from McCaig's Tower. Guests can enjoy the property's bar.
Built in the late 1800s, The Perle Oban Hotel & Spa is an iconic, historic building on Oban's seafront. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Oban Railway Station and the Cal Mac ferry terminal.

The staff was amazing, and so was the Oban Brasserie restaurant!!
This property is an 18 minute walk from the beach. Located less than 10 minutes' walk from Oban's famous McCaig's Tower, The Ranald Hotel is set in the heart of Oban town center and just off the main...

Everyone working there were professional and friendly.
Everyone working there were professional and friendly. The hotel was spotless and showed the benefits of a recent refurb. We ate in the hotel the first night and the food was of a very high standard. Our room was in the newer wing (Room Fyne).. there are four rooms in a line with wonderful views over the loch... and I believe these rooms are slightly bigger than those in the older wing.
The rooms, restaurant, bar and lounge were spotless. We had a minor issue with plumbing (the shower temp was cool), were told that they had reduced the water pressure to our room and that would be remedied asap.
There is a full size snooker table in its own lounge that we may use the next time.
On our next night and at the suggestion of the hotel manager, we ate at the Kilchrenan Inn ( 5 mins drive from the hotel; you have to book as it is very popular). They just don't now how good they are. It was one of the nicest meals we have every had in Scotland. We could have chosen every option as the menu was so varied!
All in all, a huge surprise and an excellent stay at the Taychreggan hotel. Many thanks.

This is a very comfortable hotel with good rooms, friendly and efficient staff. The hotel has a beautiful location on the shores of Loch Awe.
We ate in the hotel each night; food was very good.
Kilchrenan is located some miles down a single track road; this means that each time you go out sightseeing you initially have to use this road.
In this part of Argyll there are many outdoor things to see and do such as hill walking, visits to Oban and elsewhere.

As I have communicated already to you, when we arrived , after booking some 8 weeks before, we discovered that no booking had been made and that there was no room in the hotel for us. This reflects extremely badly on your company , we wish you to organise a new date for us to visit the hotel at no cost to ourselves except for food and drink

We booked out and went elsewhere.
We booked out and went elsewhere. The man in charge was very friendly and couldn't do enough but it was as if they were not ready for the season. There wasn't a menu printed, there was no one in reception when we arrived (i called the hotel number from my mobile). There were leaves on the steps going into the hotel and in the hotel as well as the conservatory.
This property is exceptional. The front garden is right away on a lake, they have comfy chairs and table in the garden and serve drinks there. We had yummy cocktails and the view is exceptional! It was so peaceful, also sunny on that day (lucky us). The room was big, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom is huge, the hotel is nice every where you look. We had a view on the lake too (paid for it ..). We had dinner at the hotel and oh my god!, the food was so nice! You need to have a meal there! Breakfast was delicious too.
Everything was so lovely - staff went out of their way to be friendly and chatted with us about the place's history and Scotland as a whole. The management was so helpful and accommodating; they went above and beyond to ensure we were traveling safely through some rough weather. The rooms were immaculate and cozy. The property was so picturesque and full of great amenities, tons of cozy couches, the bar was well stocked, and the restaurant was world-class. 10/10 would stay here again!
Everything about our stay was amazing. From the previous reviews, my expectations were already high, but I hadn't realised there were so many little, quiet public rooms / areas. If next time we visit the weather isn't so good, we will have to make more use of the inside facilities.Everyone we met was welcoming and helpful. The food was fantastic -especially the breakfast. We so loved sitting outside enjoying the view and the fire pits were an added luxury.
Outstanding experience! By far our favorite place that we’ve stayed in Scotland during our 2 weeks trip. Truly an experience, not just a hotel. Maxime, who works there, went above and beyond to make our stay even better than it already was. Gorgeous property surrounded by a beautiful nature! Saw 2 baby deers while driving in 😍. Restaurant food (both breakfast and dinner) were great too!
Amazing private venue with gorgeous private areas to sit as well as intimate areas to meet new friends. The staff made the place, professional, accommodating and most importantly just so very nice. Loved Lisa and Rebecca
Will recommend for
Anyone coming to Scotland.
Wonderful location and Hotel. Nothing is any bother, everyone is very friendly and welcoming .We visited with our dog and he is as special a guest as we were.Given a room with easy access to the grounds as requested Happy memories and would not hesitate in going back.
Location is stunning, worth the drive down the single track road. Food is exceptional, breakfast and dinner very ggod indeed. Lovely big loungs and snu bar facilities are perfect. Slept really well in the bed, room very big and view over loch is beautiful.
Very grateful for the free upgrade to a bigger room near the garden access to accommodate our three dogs. Exceptionally dog-friendly establishment in an absolutely stunning location. Excellent breakfast with choice of cooked vegetarian options. 10/10
Comfortable room in lovely old property. French styled shabby chic. The location was miles from anywhere and down a long single track lake but the journey was worth it, Breakfast and dinner were good quality locally sourced and well presented.
We absolutely LOVED everything about this property. The staff was so kind and accommodating, the food was absolutely incredible, and the views were spectacular. We hope to visit Scotland again some day just so we can stay again!
Really lovely stay. Location was fantastic and the staff were very attentive. We had dinner one night which was delicious. It is a very very quiet hotel, which some people may really enjoy. I would recommend a stay.
We were very impressed with the dinner, the food was exceptional. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was very spacious and had a lovely bathroom. Scenery was amazing. Our dog was very welcome too.
Very good hotel in a stunning location, staff very friendly, helpful and had a good knowledge of the area, great place to relax, unwind and enjoy a good selection of Whiskies.
The off the beaten track, beautiful Ardanaisig Hotel nestled on 240 Acres with a beautiful view of a loch and mountains is breathtaking. A wonderful country hotel.
