The staff without exception were very friendly and efficient. The breakfast was good. It’s probably a little on the expensive side for a nice country pub. Please note if you need to travel ANYWHERE in a taxi or is very expensive because of where it is (£25 for 3.7 miles)

The Pub is beautiful, warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and the Staff couldn’t have been more helpful from the moment we arrived. The Breakfast was one of the nicest we’ve had, plenty on offer and cooked how you’d like it. We didn’t have the best nights sleep due to noise from the rooms next to us. We could hear every conversation, cough and sneeze. Every time their bed moved it made a really horrible noise which would wake us up. Thin walls perhaps? The bed was quite firm but that’s personal preference. The room was clean and offered everything we needed for a nights stay.SophieUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Great attention to detail from high thread count sheets to super fluffy towels. Not a bad distance from Alton Towers and a great breakfast in the price to set you up for the day. Desserts in the pub restaurant were fabulous and all the staff were so obliging. There were also 2 pokestops at the property which is great for Pokemon Go players! The room was small and we aren't used to sleeping in a double bed, nor hearing our neighbours snoring through the walls, but the sheets were soft, the water hot and the food good.RebeccaUnited Kingdom
