Lots of facilities, space and lovely views at the property. Shops not too far away, minutes in a car and short walk.
Owner was friendly and accommodating greeting us with a tray of samosas.
Loved the time to mix, cook, play with family and friends.

Melbourne is so full of history and character.
Melbourne is so full of history and character. I was there 3rd week in July, so still cottage garden flowers and fantastic colourful gardens, pots, hanging baskets on view in Melbourne. Was in 3 Cafès, 1 pub restaurant and Melbourne Hall's Gardens and cafè. All excellent with friendly staff. Nice independent shops there too. I thought the Melbourne Cobbler's shop was unique in that he sold a great selection of items in the small shop, he repaired all sorts of footwear, bags etc, he cut keys and he accepted parcel post for locals and stored parcel post from locals for collection by various couriers. . . All with a 😃smile.

A handsome and lovely town/village.
A handsome and lovely town/village. We went to a super wedding reception at The Spirit Vaults and dinner later at a pub on the outskirts of the vllage.
My advice would be to avoid staying and being ripped off at Harpurs and stay somewhere else.

an absolutely beautiful, clean, friendly, efficient hotel, I am going back for a longer solo stay - I felt safe, was able to get to places if needed, just perfect for a retreat, base to explore or for special events (at the hotel & locally).

Only visited briefly as attending Donington Historic Festival all weekend. Lovely quaint, historical, picturesque village with good amenities. Many food option, old pubs with great beer, a Halk and gardens. And all this within three minutes drive.
Location 2 min walk to center of Melbourne, which meant there was no noise.
Staff were all very polite, courteous and friendly.
Room facilities very good with tea, coffee, biscuits, etc etc and plenty of handwashing, soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
Very well thought out room!
We attended a wedding at Amalfi White around the corner and the staff at this venue were far more organised and friendly than at Amalfi White!
Stayed at The Outhouse as I was travelling for a work event in Castle Donington (10 min drive away).
Very reasonable price, much nicer than a hotel room which would have been £30 more expensive.
Nice self contained apartment with all you could need and more available. Bed was very comfortable and shower had a good pressure to it.
Great place to stay. Nice and warm and clean. Great location for the village and walk easily to nice pubs. Had everything I needed for my stay and much more personal than a hotel. Good communication from the owners and easy to access via a door code. I parked on the road just outside. Would definitely visit again and rexcomend
The apartment is spacious with good cooking facilities, lovely bathroom and a large extremely comfortable bed. The views from the apartment are great and it's only a 5 minute drive from the lively village of Melbourne which has some great places to eat and drink. We will be definitely staying again.
Great location for me (close to the race circuit). A well equipped small apartment that was nicely priced and made for a really enjoyable stay. Thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Donington Park as an alternative to a small hotel room!
The staff is very kindly and friendly, the room was very very clean and the position its very quiet! Fantastic english breakfast cooked at the moment! I would like to stay there again when ill come to Melbourne again. Regards
Lovely quiet location with a wonderful view, friendly family run hotel that were very helpful during my stay. Spacious room with comfy double bed and clean throughout with a useful mini kitchen and fridge.
Staying in room 8 which is situated just over the road from the main bar and restaurant was different, but the room was beautifully presented with a great bed and luxury furnishings.
Superbly decorated and fitted out Cottage ideal for short stays in the beautiful town of Melbourne. All requirements thought about. Loved the outdoor space.
