The woman who served us breakfast (4/22-4/24) was exceptional—unfailingly pleasant, positive and ready to put requests in effect without delay. She could have used help, esp. on the 24th, as she was very busy. Breakfast very good.

The staff was super friendly, especially Findlay the dog/mascot. Our room was really charming with pitched, beamed ceiling in the "Hayloft' next door. Highly recommended. Unfortunately it's early spring so evening meals were not served, but breakfast was really good.

The rooms are quite secure, which is a concern because I travel alone. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The bed, and the bedding was very comfortable. The room is well appointed with Wifi, TV, and plenty of space. Having a quiet restaurant and a pub downstairs is really handy for eating breakfast, and having a nightcap at the end of the day. I will stay again when I return the area.

It could almost be thought of as the poor relation of the Cotswolds, but only compared to the more glamorous neighbours, Bourton on the Water and Broadway, but it is a very good centre for touring the area and has easy free parking, good shops and good restaurants.

A Beautiful Traditional English Town.
A Beautiful Traditional English Town. The building and architecture are full of history, the shops in the town are filled with art/antiques, plenty of restaurants, cafes, charity shops, local craft and gifts too, so there’s plenty to explore and do.

Moreton in Marsh was quintessentially English and very aesthetic. Full of pleasant eateries and antique shops. People were polite and said hello as you passed in the street. Extremely close to other places of interest and quaint villages that you could either wander around or make a brisk walk from.

Great little town in the Cotswolds with lots of intersting places to go to surrounding it. The town itself doesn't have a particularly busy high streeet but Stow on the Wold is only a few minutes drive away and has some lovely shops to mooch around. Lots of lovely walks in the area and some great hotels to be based in.

We visited the Batsford Arboretum for lunch.
We visited the Batsford Arboretum for lunch. It was raining, so we didn't walk through the Arboretum. There weren't as many shops as I was expecting for the size of the town, but it's not far to Stow-On-The-Wold

This was a great base for exploring the region.
This was a great base for exploring the region. Easy access to the train from London and then from there I could take different buses to explore, hire a guide or if I had a car I could have explored that way.

Rooms modern, clean and very comfortable. Lovely touches - like a small truck for my suitcase, bottled water provided and complimentary sherry. Also very quiet. Perfect location in the centre of Moreton. All the staff were exceptionally helpful. We had a very nice dinner (all three of us are vegetarians) and great breakfast too. We booked this hotel quite last minute so had not really known what to expect, but we will be back, as its a great place for a group of friends to meet up.
Exceptional staff. Shout out to Ellie in the dining room in particular and the front desk staff. My room was in one of the separate buildings and had a private walled garden, which was totally unexpected. Visited by birds daily. Each room appears to be unique and well-appointed. This Cotswolds village is more quiet than some and not overrun with tourists. Likewise, the hotel felt peaceful and down-to-earth. They had provided fans due to the heat but it cooled off so didn't need.
It was the best holiday home we've ever been to! Every detail has been carefully considered, cutlery, bedding, towels and toiletries, including small things, like the logs for the fireplace and matches - the hosts even left a welcome basket for us of local goodies. The environment is charming, historic details have been carefully maintained and one could read about the history of the house. We will certainly visit again!
The room was a really nice size and my friends and I didn't feel cramped at all. The shower was large and the bathroom was a great size, especially for Europe. The breakfast was wonderful and we looked forward to it each day and the man who served it to us was lovely. The location was amazing and everything was only a short walk from our hotel.
The flat was very clean, comfy, and beautifully decorated with nice touches like Netflix and Nespresso pods - excellent location right in the centre of Moreton in Marsh with a variety of walks from the doorstep and a good choice of lovely places to eat. The host was communicative and helpful. The bed was so comfy!
Room is clean and cozy. Every morning English breakfast prepared by the family members are excellent. Appreciate their punctuality despite the cold weather.
Location is about 10mins easy walk from moreton in marsh train station and bus 801 starts from train station and stop at opposite the hotel.
The reception desk personnel were very informative and helpful. At dinnertime, they also were able to find us a table despite not having reservations because we were hotel guests. A staff member even put an umbrella over a sunroof someone had left open in the pouring rain.
Ask for a room on the garden, otherwise your on a road. It was ok though. The only problem was the carpet was so grubby. If the carpet is replaced I would rate this property higher. I booked it without reading reviews. It was fine and I generally liked the location.
The property was beautiful and historic, but also modernized in the right ways. The various areas to lounge and explore were lovely and the space felt spread out. We enjoyed drinks at the bar and both agreed the best meal of our trip was dinner at the Brasserie.
Very friendly staff, comfortable spacious and clean room. Great to have a restaurant on site, excellent breakfast with a good variety of choices, free easy parking, situated in an attractive village very close to Moreton in Marsh and a wonderful arboretum.
The hotel manager was very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. The staff are very friendly and work tirelessly to make your stay memorable, one of the best showers I’ve ever had in a hotel, plenty of good quality towels,we will be returning. 👍
I booked two rooms as we were on a family holiday - both were spacious with its unique character.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
