Have visited North Berwick often but never stayed over as lived not far away in the past. Tantallon and Dirleton Castles are very different with the former having a view of Bass Rock. Very dog friendly. Lots of places to have food and refreshments. The Rocketeer for lobster is a must.

Its a beautiful characterful town and a great place to stay if you are heading up towards Edinburgh. The beaches are beautiful and the town has a great selection of cafes and little shops. The Scottish SeaBird Centre is really good and well worth a visit. A walk to the nearby Tentallon Castle is recommended.

A great place to enjoy golf along the most amazing coastline for golfers. Two wonderful courses in the town and many more exceptional courses within a few miles. Several decent pubs and small restaurants. We were told to avoid the Chinese but the fish and chips were great. The train from Edinburgh only takes 20 minutes and costs pennies!!

North Berwick was a lovely place to stay.

North Berwick was a lovely place to stay. Great beach walks plus a strenuous climb up The Law if you wanted. Plenty of fresh seafood places to eat. Sea trips and water activities available. Close enough to drive to Edinburgh for a day trip. Amazing to be able to see both sunrise and sunsets.

The Seabird Centre, the Lodge , & The Memorial Garden are what I go for at present but there are tennis courts , the Glen Golf Club , trips to round the Bass Rock & if you are more energetic climb the Law. All pursuit s I have done in the past . But ill health has brought those activities to an end

Loved staying here, we were in the pavilion which was separate and private with a huge garden and children’s swing and trampoline. We don’t eat meat but the hostess who is a Michelin trained chef cooked a variety of different dishes for breakfast which we’re all delicious. The location is excellent, very close to the beach and around 15 minutes walk into North Berwick. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The concierge taking our luggage up to our room and explaining all the gadgets and tv and fridge etc. Our bar meal was lovely and we asked for a sort if weird mixture and the server brought it out without a murmur. Very polite. The lounge area ground floor was sheer luxury and views were awesome and concierge took our luggage to our car for us. Most helpful young man

The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is easy to find, and within a 10 minute walk of North Berwick station- all the locals seem to know it, which speaks to having a good reputation. It was very quiet for both nights, which was a busy weekend during the Festival period. The lone staffperson (or manager) on-site was friendly.

Supercomfy bed with brilliant pillows! Excellent breakfast choice and all staff were very friendly and professional in their approach. Plentiful off road parking and good wifi throughout the hotel. It is a bit of a walk to the centre of the town but we preferred the coastal walk around the golf course which is glorious with great views.

Very central to everything in North Berwick.Beach, shops, restaurants and pub a few mins walk away. Lovely home to spend a holiday in with everything you need in a very quiet, friendly area. The hosts very thoughtful to a minor issue we had, dealt with straight away and over and above service given. Very kind gesture. ❤

We traveled to North Berwick for The Scottish Open. Linda Vista was a good base for our group to rest after long days at the course with a great kitchen (beach view is wonderful from this space), two lounge areas and comfortable rooms. Easy walk to local restaurants as well as sunrise/ sunset beach walks.

Fabulous little apartment, right on the beach only a few minutes walk from the town centre. The apartment was spotless and well equipped as well as being very nicely decorated and comfortable. We stayed for a week and had a lovely time exploring the area. Really can't fault it and would definitely return.
