The hotel was excellent value for money. Staff was super helpful and polite, and the room was very clean, exactly as shown in the website pictures. Breakfast was good, but it was exactly same on both days, so could do with some variety, But enjoyed the breakfast.

Very comfy bed, with big fluffy pillows. Lovely spacious room that has a table and chairs. We’ll set out room. Great old building with character. The sash windows are a novelty.
A lovely village on the edge of Dartmoor and Plymouth.

The hotel is in a nice rural location so make sure you have your own transport. The hotel leisure facilities are first rate so make sure you use them. We would have liked to use the spa but there were restrictive times due to the gym being refurbished.
Bring your golf clubs because there is an excellent golf club on site. The food in the bar and the restaurant are very good which is very handy as you are out in the countryside.
The rooms have been refurbished to a high standard and they are very spacious which makes a pleasant change

Not forthcoming or honest when cancellation requested.
Not forthcoming or honest when cancellation requested. Suggested because it was busy bank holiday they had turned away customers and would loose out if they refunded us when in actual fact they had four similar rooms available at 17.47 hours??

We enjoyed our visit and the location allowed us to visit the moors and Plymouth easily. There is a park and ride to Plymouth though we didn't use it. It wasn't school holiday time so we had no problem with parking.
The breakfast was delicious, as were the evening meals. Our room was beautiful, and had been recently refurbished. I liked the style, the curtains, carpet and furniture blended together well. The bed was cosy and comfortable. Our view over the parkland was stunning. The lounge was spacious and comfortable. The hotel pool was brilliant, as was the jacuzzi. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and efficient.
What an amazing hotel and only 3 days old.
I stayed in the family room and the decor was amazing and the bed was so comfortable.
The staff from the minute I arrived until I left couldn’t do more.
I cannot wait to return
Paul couldn’t be more welcoming
I was dubious about the hotel at first as usually independent hotels can be hit and miss but I was glad to stayed here.
Comfortable room with good shower pressure, really lovely staff and great food in the pub downstairs.
Fantastic hotel with great facilities. The room was huge and very clean. Free acces to the pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym. The view across the golf course is amazing. I would definitely recommend.
Beautiful place and room was perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful. Even though it has only recently re-opened, and some work was still ongoing, we loved the hotel.
Everything about the hotel was perfect no negatives would certainly book there again. We have been twice now over the past few years and each time it has been lovely
