We have been to Port Sunlight many many times and love the village. For people who have the time, try and book a walking tour of the village via the Port Sunlight museum, brilliant for an insight into the history of the place. The Bridge Inn is ideal for a drink or pub food. Hulme Hall have craft and flea markets every Sunday. The garden centre has a café inside and considerable plants available. There is a Port Sunlight museum which tells the story of Lord and Lady Lever and their dream to build this unique village. Peaky Blinders had Aunt Polly's house here. The major attraction is the Lady Lever Art Gallery, absolutely brilliant, especially for the Romantics artists.

Landed here as an emergency stop over with a absolutely no idea what the area had to offer. What a lovely place it is though! Clean and tidy with picturesque buildings, lovely walks and finding some deck chairs on the village green(assume) was so lovely.
We only wandered about for 1 afternoon but it was very beautiful.

The cottage was very conveniently situated near to the railway station, especially if travelling by public transport. Also close to every part of Port Sunlight, making it easy to visit all areas of this unique village. Port Sunlight is such a fabulous and picturesque Village - a photographer's dream! A step back in time to life in the 1800s. James was an amazing and generous host and his home is delightful and very comfortable indeed. We plan a return visit in the future.
At this time it would be unfair to give this hotel a poor review what with the epidemic and consequent shortage of staff and shortage, it seems, of certain food supplies. Staff were pleasant but maybe lacking a certain amount of professional training. Room was very tired and needed some attention but was clean. Restaurant food was disappointing.
The staff were very friendly and the location is excellent. It was excellent value for money. We had a large room and comfortable bed. The furnishings are a bit tired but that was not a problem for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Port Sunlight is well worth a visit.
The staff were unfailingly cheerful, friendly and helpful. The bar and dining spaces have a comfortable feel to them. The location is wonderful, in the heart of beautiful Port Sunlight where I grew up. The continental breakfast is good, as is the pricing overall.
It has the ability to be a really good hotel on a nice area, but lacks investment and effort. A new manager(ess) has apparently been appointed, but I doubt they will be given a suitable budget or tools to make a real difference. They have an uphill task ahead!
A beautiful stylish and historical home. Very comfortable. The owner was exceptionally helpful. Great location to explore Port Sunlight. A must for fans of architecture (and soapmaking). Very handy to have a drive way to park in, next to the house.
James is a brilliant host - he thinks of everything. So friendly and accommodating.
The cottage has so much character with a modern twist. A great base to explore Port Sunlight, Wirral, Liverpool and Chester. Thank you James 😊
The location - it is right in the heart of Port Sunlight Village and around 10 minutes walk from Port Sunlight rail station.
The hotel retains some interesting period features
Very convenient for visiting Port Sunlight, the best parts of which are on the doorstep. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly.
The rooms themselves were fine.
The room was clean and staff had obviously tried to make it as good as it was possible to be.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Convenient location for Port Sunlight.
