The Seafront and harbour area are delightful and there are many fabulous eateries and bars/pubs in easy walking distance of the front. We had the most delicious breakfast under the arches by the harbour at The Arch Bar, with locally sourced produce. Lunch at The Galley, tucked up above the Harbour in a little row of arches overlooking the boats, was also fabulous, and the best Indian food we've had in a long time, at Taste of Kumar, just in the town, with a beautiful variety of different dishes to choose from. My friend and I saw a show at the Granville theatre and our husbands used the time to find local beers at some very nice pubs. Our accommodation was up on Paragon above the Harbour and was a great location for walking round the whole town and down to the front. It looked like many places were dog friendly and even in early April, there was a nice atmosphere and the people were friendly and welcoming. We noticed that there is a bus every 8 mins which could take you in either direction towards Margate, Broadstairs or Deal so in future we would probably stay longer and hop on the bus to visit other nearby towns. We found free parking near our accommodation so that was a bonus! The main high street area is a bit sad-looking, like many towns are now-days, but the harbour area and seafront make up for it's lack of charm, with the many beautiful buildings and arches. I would highly recommend Ramsgate for a weekend away or even just an overnight trip to the theatre, as we did.

We had a lovely stay in the house.

We had a lovely stay in the house. Very clean and cosy with comfortable beds. The owners are very nice people and left us a bottle of fizz and milk. Rained off on the Sunday and managed to cook a nice roast there . Lit the fire, watched a movie pure bliss. Would without doubt stay again. Thank you

Enjoyed ambling around harbour and old town. Great for a weekend. Loved Eats and Beats restaurant - delicious menu! and also La Magnolia for a tasty Italian. Easy to get to Margate by train too if you want retro fashion/galleries.

Very attractive historic town, with plenty of shops and restaurants. Attractive harbour. Good location for exploring East Kent (Isle of Thanet in particular). We visited local English Heritage sites (Richborough, Deal, Walmer) and did a tour of the Ramsgate Tunnels (all worthwhile). The Weatherspoons (biggest in UK) was an experience!

    Ramsgate is a mixed bag.

Ramsgate is a mixed bag. Sea front, marina and harbour are lovely, with some fantastic restaurants and coffee shops. The town is quite rundown. OK, but not the best.. the new seafront build, I'm hoping, will help the rest come up market a bit more. But I love this place!

Corrine met me at the hotel door with the keys and showed me to my suite on the top floor. She even carried my bag for me. The property was immaculate with a fantastic sea view. It was a nice 10 minute stroll along the seafront into town where I had an excellent Thai meal. The furnishings were very comfortable and it was just like being in someone's lovely home. I would highly recommend staying at Paragon Home. There was plenty of free street parking available about a 5 minute walk away.

Lovely Apartment, fantastic location, you are right on the beach ( the quiet end which is great). All the shops, bars etc are just a few minute's walk along the seafront. Your host Julie is always available should you need her, so don't worry about that. If you are going to Ramsgate you'd be hard pushed to find a better place than this!!!

. Bed was comfortable, the bathroom was really clean. Only minor faults and that did not spoil our stay. We would stay here again but maybe with a room on the front of the hotel to get some air into the room. Really convenient for the places we wanted to stay. The meal we had in the evening was really good and excellent value
