Good food in the pub both nights we stayed. Nice view out across to the church. Kitchenette useful as we brought breakfast things plus some breakfast items are provided in case you didn't realise breakfast not included.

Lyon’s Resort we stayed in Communication before we arrived was none existent even though I contacted the property before hand.
There was no hairdryer even though they said there would be.
There were dead flies in all the light fittings and marks on the walls by the trouser press.
There were no coat hangers in the wardrobe.
There was no option of a cooked breakfast.
The place location was great for the beautiful walk we went on x

Ruthin was very quiet when we stayed Sunday and Monday night in October, just a couple of pubs. The Small Plates Tapas restaurant we planned to visit was closed both nights. The Castle and ruins are worth a walk around. Just a 10 min walk from the Castle Hotel. Nice gardens with live peacocks free to roam. Good for photographs. A market next to hotel i believe opens on a Saturday. Not much else for shoppers.

Ruthin has a lot of history and character.
Ruthin has a lot of history and character. It is well worth walking round the town and noting the architecture of buildings. Ruthin Castle brings it all together and was well situated to defend the town historically.

Ruthin is a beautiful small town.
Ruthin is a beautiful small town. We followed the Town Trail, which took us about 3 hours with a lot of stops on the way, and we could have taken longer.
Small Plates is a great restaurant, a bit like tapas. Ignore the 1 hygiene rating - we were informed by other proprietors that the local hygiene inspectors pay more attention to paper work than hygiene and mark you down if the paper work is not 10)% in order.

Ruthin supermarkets, essential shops, collectables.
It was our first time staying at a Wetherspoons and we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were brilliant and very helpful (even printing out options to help us buy a map). The Castle itself is an old hotel in the very centre of Ruthin. It had a lovely terrace area at the back, but we had no issues with noise at all. Comfy beds, slept well and ate well too. Prices were very low for food, but we were impressed and loved the no TV policy. Would definitely stay there again.
Very friendly staff and locals at the pub. The food was lovely, very reasonably priced and fast to arrive. We loved seeing Cyril the cat too! The room was beautifully decorated and clean, we felt very comfortable. Lots of treats in the fridge as well. The area was perfect for what we wanted and we would recommend staying here rather than in Ruthin itself.
The Feathers is right in the middle of the interesting historic, small town of Ruthin. Its a pub/hotel so i checked in the bar and was promptly shown up to my room which had shared use of a kitchen. The room and bathroom were spotless, warm furnished nicely. I made use of the bar downstairs which was very cheery and covid aware. Well done guys!
The hotel is set in a lovely spot just outside Ruthin.
Hotel staff were extremely friendly.
They let me lock my cycle away in there garage
Food on the evening was firstly class
Chef was very accommodating at breakfast, extremely polite professional and even served me before the breakfast was due to start
Room was spacious and well equipped
Location is really good. Nice and quiet but also not to far from ruthin itself. The outside facilities looked nice but it was to cold to use. Would like to visit in Sumner.
The little extras ( fresh milk and welshcakes was a nice touch.
Downstairs feel very traditional farm cottage but upstairs ( bedroom and bathroom) are very modern.
The Barn was set in the most idyllic location with stunning views all around. The hosts were very welcoming without being intrusive. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, spacious and modern, and really well equipped in the kitchen and lounge area. We will be back! :)
The location was perfect; it is so quiet it appears isolated but town of Ruthin is easily walkable. Beautiful views and even little viewing huts provided to make the most of them! Cottage was well equipped and extremely comfortable. Friendly and helpful host family.
location was good for touring around N. Wales.
The cottage was realy nice with a great terraced garden to the rear where i was able to play my bagpipes.
and the lady who owns the cottage met with the key and she was really nice and helpful.
Breakfast and location were good. Very good menu for the evening meal with plenty of choice. Also, location very good for accessing different locations in the area. Ample supply of coffee, milk, tea, etc. in the bedroom,
The property was very comfortable and well fitted out with lots of homely touches. It felt like a home rather than a rental. A good base for the area. The host made every effort to ensure we had everything we needed.
Great self contained apartment in a lovely setting with welcoming hosts. Nearby areas with plenty to do and supermarkets/restaurants etc to keep you stocked up. We hope to come back and stay again in the future!
The general ambience of the hotel and the friendly and helpful staff. We loved the grounds and the outdoor bar area. The food was very good, both breakfast and dinner.
the property is very clean and well equipped with everything, it’s very relaxing area to be in. Katherine is very nice person who would take care of everything.
Lovely place to stay. Great base for visiting Wales or if you just want a few days around Ruthin.
The accommodation is well equipped and very comfortable.
