The weather was dry so good start. Plenty of shops to look in, plenty cafes and excellent pubs. Skipton towpath next to canal is a lovely walk as well as Skipton woods by the river. Very dog friendly place. We ate at the Railway pub, excellent food.
Also they are canal boat tours, and you can hire the boats for a day or longer. Skipton Castle is a great place if you like history really recommend going Skipton has a lot to offer.

There is nothing to dislike about Skipton, it is a pretty market town, lots of boutique type shops, lovely wine bars & coffee shops & welcoming pubs.
Everywhere we went we received a warm & friendly welcome. The places we ate were cosy and good value for money (Woolley Sheep) and romantic and special (Le Bistro)

Beautiful town, lovely shops, bars, pubs and restaurants.
Lovely day attractions to visit at reasonable prices.
Recommend visiting Hesketh Farm and Billy Bob’s ice cream parlour.
The shops and pubs are a short 15 car ride away. We booked a taxi without issue.
The cottage has a folder full of leaflets, information for restaurants, taxi, takeaways, attractions etc.
Beautiful scenic walks close to the cottage and nearby. Canal trips 30 minutes away and the lovely Skipton castle.

Accommodation was first class.
Accommodation was first class.
Looked exactly as on booking.com
15mins walk along main road from station or a leisurely 15mins along the canal bank.
Lovely shops, cafes and pubs.
Street market on and people were just so friendly.
Skipton much bigger than we expected so we'll be back to finish the castle woods walk and have afternoon tea on one of the boat cruises.
Also a very dog friendly town.... What's not to like about that. 🐕
It was warm and comfortable and had a very welcoming bar/restaurant. But, by far, the biggest positive is the staff at Herriot’s Hotel, they were all charming and couldn’t do enough for us. Their attention to detail was excellent.
I lost a pair of earrings in the room and they phoned me to say they had found one whilst I was still in Skipton so I collected it. when I arrived home I realised the other earring was missing too. Herriot’s Hotel staff rang me to say it had been found and they would post it on to me.
The interior décor of the room was very welcoming and cozy. The bed was super comfy. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower was very spacious and modern.
The room was quite warm to come to after a long walk in the country. It was just what we needed.
The breakfast was excellent. There was plenty of choice. The English breakfast was huge and Carol even makes her own sourdough bread. You can tell that this is a professional B&B in a well looked after property.
The fact that parking was available for free, although away from the hotel. Ideally placed for a couple of days exploring Skipton. The staff were friendly and breakfast well cooked. Wasn't sure about having it in our room, but the 4 of us were able to all eat together in our room.
Really loved the Odessey shower gel & soap in the bathroom from Out of Eden
This is an exceptional property. The house is spacious, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The host was so kind, informative and quick to reply to any questions. The location is perfect for an undisturbed get away with family or friends and the hot tub was heated to perfection on our arrival. I can't recommend it enough.
We wished to visit the skipton Village on a leisurely trip.
A mini break to recharge. We went on walks on canal, boat trips , we saw the local market and the Gala.
The location was perfect and we received excellent service from the hotel.
Help with bags ,information on the local attractions.
We will visit again
The room was beautiful. It was so cozy and beautifully decorated. Perfectly cleaned and tidied daily.
Debbie was a lovely host.
The hotel was in prime position just a w minute walk from town where there's plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops.
We'll definitely be staying again during our next trip to Skipton
We didn't eat at the hotel but walked the short distance into Skipton. The hotel menu looked okay but a little pricey but if you didn't want to go out it was acceptable. Overall it is a good hotel in a good location, just a bit soulless but well suited for business travellers.
Lovely entrance hall very quirky which we love fresh flowers from the garden very welcoming.
Room was decorated to a high standard
Comfy bed with quality linen.
Hotel next door serving amazing food
Very good location quiet yet short walk to centre of Skipton
Debbie is a lovely host.so friendly and helpful.
Our room was lovely and we had tea, coffee, biscuits, milk and a kettle provided in the room. So comfortable and clean. It's an excellent location to walk from for everything to see and do in Skipton.
Excellent location for the centre of Skipton, everything was walkable from the hotel. Parking was free and car was not required as everything was walkable for town centre. Room was spacious, clean and well maintained.
Great location with amazing views close to Skipton in quiet country area, Breakfast was great staff helpful and overall a great stay, Would recommend location and hotel
Location, everything well maintained, pretty room with interesting view. Free parking space. The rating seems to have come out as a 7, but I would put it at an 8.
