The hotel is a 10 minute drive/cab ride from the Stonehouse train station, which is in the center of town. We stayed at The Beacon Hotel & Railway for five nights - The location is great for visiting the charming Cotswolds - we visited Bibury, Bourton on the water, Broadway Tower and Chipping Campden. The bedrooms are good size with comfortable beds and clean bright bathrooms. There’s a pub downstairs with a very friendly crowd and beautiful bartenders. The hotel restaurant serves delicious abundant and affordable meals for breakfast lunch and dinner.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the pillows.were great. Lovely walk in shower, plenty of toiletries. Tea & coffee making facilities. Fresh milk in the fridge and bottles of water.
The breakfast was superb. I had the full English with a poached egg, which was perfectly cooked. All the ingredients were freshly cooked and plentiful. The bread was made on the premises.
The staff were friendly, the lovely young lady who served us breakfast was nice and very helpful.
All in all it was a great overnight stay. Well worth the money.

Host provided Continental breakfast that we could make in the mini kitchen. Included delicious fruit from her garden.

Wonderful, stylish blend of old and modern furnishing and fixtures in the reception/bar area. Great drink menu available and a nice surprise to find the bar open soon after we arrived so a couple of drinks before we took the short walk to the restaurant we'd booked for our evening meal. Room was comfortable with lovely views out across the lawn to the canal and Cotswold hills beyond. Breakfast was lovely and filling, and varied, though having just come back from Amsterdam, it was missing some of the broader continental options I'd got used to.
Wild Garlic Rooms is located in Nailsworth, within 14 miles of Kingsholm Stadium and 15 miles of Cotswold Water Park. This 4-star hotel offers free WiFi.

Dreadful ! This property misrepresented itself on this site.
Dreadful ! This property misrepresented itself on this site. No staff present at any stage so no evening restaurant and no breakfast despite having paid for breakfast. Proprietor has not responded to several requests from me and from Booking.com for a refund.

Stayed for one night for work to visit one of the new industrial units next to the M5. This hotel was less than 10 minutes away so perfect for what I needed. 2 of my colleagues had stayed here a few weeks before and recommended the place.
The hotel itself was in a quiet village in a pretty setting. This was ideal to sit in the beer garden enjoying the sunshine in peace.
I had dinner in the bar which was very good quality. the 2 gents working that evening were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help.
The room was of a good size, with a large comfortable bed. The en-suite bathroom was also a good size.
I would definitely stay again next time I'm in the area. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

A lovely and well presented Inn. The bar was very popular.
A lovely and well presented Inn. The bar was very popular. The restaurant roomy and attractive with an excellent and varied menu. Service in all areas professional and attentive. Rooms exceeded expectations very comfortable with everything you could wish for including fresh milk in the fridge Only downside is the proximity to the road and single glazing but this is a traditional building and that is part of the charm.

The property is not actually in Stonehouse,it is in Eastington. The only places in Eastington were a pub and a coop store. We had to travel to Stonehouse for food. It was okay for 1 night but no longer.

Room was well presented with dressing gown and slippers and also included fridge with fresh milk and water, coffee and tea including sugar was well labeled locally
Room became very warm during night and was not controllable and car parking needs to be looked at as very hard to park during the day as no marked parking bays and everyone parked anywhere they could find

The room had no running hot water, the eletric's tipped so had no electrics both mornings so couldn't have a cup of tea,. No portfolio no information no planned fire escape route, Hot tap loose in basin loose toilet seat. On entering pub smelt dirty carpets filthy. Have emailed booking, com no response. Will be avoiding Stonehouse in future,
Location was really good. We travelled over as a family with the dog. Two of us went to the football stadium for an away game and my wife stayed at the loft and took the dog for a walk. There are walking spots straight out the back so no need to drive anywhere.
The beds were super comfortable, we all slept really well (best bed I have slept in at a hotel/B&B) and felt as though you were staying at home which we really liked. Sara was very good and set up the room really nicely.
I loved the peaceful, rural country setting. The room was spotless and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The breakfast was hearty and great value for money. The menu offered a number of delicious options and I was more than happy to eat there. This is an affordable, family friendly hotel and I highly recommend it to travelers who are looking for an authentic British experience!
Clean, well equipped room with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. the location is ideal with easy access from M5, a beautiful village 2 mins from Coaley Peak.
We expected a simple hotel stay in a country pub, we got a blooming splendid hotel stay in a country pub.
For the price, we're more than happy and will return again.
A very pretty and well organised hotel with a truly amazing dining experience. Staff are clearly very well trained and versed in customer service - especially in the dining room, it was a true pleasure to eat there. Food also of the very highest quality and expertise. Good spacious room for what is their standard offering with all amenities.
The hotel is conveniently located just a couple of miles of the motorway, it has plenty of parking and is not too far from other locations in the Cotswolds. The room was small but functional, coffee/tea and kettle provided, bathroom and linens were clean. Bed was comfortable.
The staff were lovely, the hotel is in a quiet location and we ate in on the evening-the food was excellent. We walked up to Haresfield beacon,it's 'only' 1.4 miles but the road is very steep, the view when we got to the beacon was fantastic and well worth the hike.
The room was a good size, clean and very comfortable. We had both an evening meal and breakfast and both were very good. The hotel was also very close to the M5 and made a perfect stopover for our journey to Devon.
Our room was lovely and the bed was huge, which was great as my sister and I had loads of room. Even though the hotel is on a junction it was very quiet at night outside. The free breakfast was excellent.
Hotel is lovely, wonderful rooms and really clean. Breakfast was good, good wifi! We used this as a base for the races and was super easy to get into Cheltenham with Colin Groves taxi service.
The staff were great, my daughter was let down last minute at another hotel, the staff offered to put a bed in our room, but had another room my daughter cud use, thank you soo much
We enjoyed staying at this hotel, the staff was nice and attentive and we were pleased to find out that the food was very good. It was quiet although our room was facing the road.
Very cute little hotel, were very flexible about us arriving later in the evening and still keeping the restaurant open for us. Bed was very comfy, area was quiet for sleeping!
after all reviews, I decided to book this hotel for weekend away with my lovely partner. unfortunately everything was ruined from minutes we stepped into this place.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel with a comfortable room, fantastic food and friendly staff. It was a real find having stopped for an overnight on route south.
We never got to the hotel as they told us 20 mins before we were due to arrive Basically they were unable to provide food and the hotel was empty of staff
