The couple who owned Town Mills were wonderful! Allison & Charles were very helpful with ideas on touring Exmoor and the surrounding area. We would highly recommend Town Mills and we loved the town of Dulverton.

Beautiful English village, very well kept, very peaceful.
Beautiful English village, very well kept, very peaceful. Apart from the pub there is an old church, village green, war memorial and 2 "pack horse" bridges over small stream. English village at its best.

Such a pretty spot.
Such a pretty spot. The turning into the hotel car park is narrow, with a sharp turn. Although the road is quiet, it's advisable to exit the car park with caution.
Also, beware of the pheasants wandering around the road into the village - they think they own the place - well they do really.
There's a lovely park area with a couple of swings right opposite the hotel.
Listening to the river meandering its way under the pack horse bridge was very relaxing.

A fantastic thatched roof pub in the middle of Exmoor full of character with great friendly staff and lovely food. We were made to feel very welcome not just by the staff but the locals too. The accommodation is superior, very clean warm and comfortable. The evening meal was excellent and the breakfast equally as good. Highly recommended.
Everything, this was one of our best trips ever. From the moment we arrived the welcome and service were outstanding. Jane and Steve were friendly and Darren and all the staff looked after us superbly.
Our room was spacious and comfortable and serviced Immaculately every day.
We enjoyed breakfast and dinner every day of our 10 night stay and appreciated the friendly atmosphere in the bar and dining room.
WiFi was very reliable and Winsford was an excellent base for touring Exmoor and the North Devon and Somerset coast.
I liked the old fashioned hotel very much, it was clean and comfortable and the food was fine, if unremarkable and on the expensive side.
The nice stay was totally spoiled on the last evening by the arrogant rudeness of the owner / manager to another customer seated by ourselves in the dining room. It was totally unforgivable and spoilt the evening for the three tables that were within hearing. I won’t be returning.
The Royal Oak ,at Winsford , is situated in an idyllic Exmoor village. It is a good base to explore Exmoor ,and the North Devon coast .It has lovely ,spacious accommodation, very clean , with a plentiful breakfast served . The Evening meals are also very appetising. The Staff are very friendly, and are very attentive , I would definitely go back again.
