Very quaint and QUIET seaport town. A lot of the restaurants and bars were closed during my stay but was able to go to 1 of them which was lovely. It's a very far east part of Iceland I recommend going to, even if it is for 1 night.

Gem! This was worth the extra drive to visit. Honestly it was my favorite part of Iceland. Rugged beauty without the long line of tourist buses to contend with. Stokksnes Beach is a hidden gem at sunrise!

The Berjaya in Höfn is in a wonderful position with the harbour on one side and a view out across the water to the glaciers and the west on the other. It is also easy walking distance to all the local bars and restaurants.

Hofn is a lovely town in SE Iceland.
Hofn is a lovely town in SE Iceland. It has numerous, easy walking paths thru town and around their waterfront including a golf course with views that I think rival those of the finest courses in the world. Not a golfer, but if I were, this is a place I would want to play. It was spectacular. The views of the glacier were outstanding. There were several good restaurants, lobster is a local specialty. There are nature and art trails along the waterfront and a number of good historical exhibits. Wished we could have spent more time here. It felt like a vibrant, fully functioning community that I would have liked to explore more.

it was one of the most expensive stay on our 12 days trips.
it was one of the most expensive stay on our 12 days trips. The room did not match the pricing.
There were not microwave nor toaster nor any other means to warm up any food. Only one working chair in the room.
It was clean, but not worth the price.

Unlike tourist traps in the USA, Hofn is a marine village built to accommodate itself throughout the seasons. It's a place to relax, take in the fresh air, and chill. Its natural beauty is more than enough.
We booked this hotel to be in the shadow of Vestrahorn mountain. This is one of the most phoographed locations in Iceland with this amazing mountain and it's reflection in the shallow bay in front of it. There are also some great hiking trails nearby and a cool Viking Village movie set worth checking out. The hotel only has a few small rooms but staying here is all about location, location, location! Check out the Icelandic waffles and hot chocolate in the Viking Cafe; it's a great afternoon treat!
Seljavellir Guesthouse has the best value for money we encountered in Iceland. Considering the price we paid, the room was HUGE, had a great shower/toilet room and the bed was very large and comfortable.
The view was AMAZING, as the room has glass windows and a glass door, letting us see parts of the Vatnajökull glacier straight from bed.
Check in was silky smooth as our key was simply waiting for us in the lobby, and communicating with the host was very easy over the phone.
We ended our month in Iceland at this apartment in western Reykjavik. Parking was easy on the street. The apartment was quite large which was perfect for doing our final repack after 4 1/2 months of travel. Kitchen was well appointed. Nice to have a washer so our clothes were clean going home. The apartment was very clean. Bathroom was a good size with steady hot water and good water pressure.
Breakfast is really good with fresh warm bread! Different from other places we visited in Iceland where it’s just basic. Here we loved it! Evening restaurant also surprised us with delicious and not expensive food.
Hotel is really clean. We booked a room with shared bathroom but the stay overall was better than in other hotels with private bathrooms! Cozy, clean, good value for money.
The guesthouse is really nice and has the perfect location in Höfn with a beautiful surrounding. The coffee machine in the kitchen made awesome coffee and we used it a lot. We really liked the eating area and scrolled through the travel information provided. Also the room was really quiet, which we did not experience often in Iceland as the walls seemed really thin in other hotels.
I like the location, very easy to find. We had dinner there and very nice.
The male staff was very nice and friendly.
The Wi-Fi was not working in the rooms, we paid for breakfast, a young female staff was very inpatient and unfriendly when I asked her for some help.
This is the most expensive hotel rooms in Iceland but I don’t think is Worthing it. Quite disappointed.
Inges (not sure I spell her name right)is a very nice and passionate host. She is very helpful and a very knowledgable Icelandic. She cooked us a delicious breakfast and offered us an unforgettable horse farm tour in her own horse farm. Her horses are very lovely and charming. The location is beautiful and good for aurora if you are lucky to have any.
This is a lovely hotel when travelling on the south coast of Iceland. Great views of the glacier and a waterfall just across the road. Very comfortable and clean.
The restaurant was lovely- one of the best meals we had while in Iceland with fresh produce, and a good breakfast buffet.
The Hotel Höfn is well located: 1) near the coast, 2) next to a gas station, 3) near a supermarket &c.
Also the 'public' rooms of the hotel (e. g. bar, flor, reception, resteraunt) are pretty and modern.
The employees were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was delicious and versatile.
Very clean and perfectly equipped little apartement, everything new and modern. The bed is comfortable and the view is simply amazing (just by the harbour, perfectly located to watch some icelandic sunrises). A 100% recommendation from us!
The shared kitchen and dining area was well equipped, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms and showers clean. The check-in process was well communicated and the location easy to find. A good overnight stop whilst exploring Iceland.
I had dinner and breakfast here and both were fantastic. In fact, the breakfast was the best I have had in Iceland. Scrambled eggs that were actually cooked and not runny…and bacon the was crisp and delicious, not limp and greasy.
Everything that you can need in hostel is there, plus it looks like it's brand new. It even smells nicely. The staff was very helpful and informative. That was the best hostel I stayed in Iceland and almost the cheapest one.
Situated in a great location, close to the water and dining options within Hofn. The room was great with all the amentities needed for a one night stay while travelling through Iceland. Breakfast options were good as well
Comfy beds, clean, nice shower and the first hotel in two weeks in Iceland that had a usable bathroom sink with a faucet placed high enough the you could actually get your hands under it to wash them..
The house is beautiful and clean. We saw the Northern lights front the front porch and it's so convenient and cool. We would stay at this place again if we come back to Iceland.
