The food was excellent. We had Dinner and Breakfast. The hotel was beautiful and everyone was so acommadating. Very pleased and on the ocean too.

Can't say enough good things about this boutique hotel. It is worth a night in your iceland itinerary. Beautiful decor, clean as could be, and the staff are exceptional. We were checked in by Christopher who quickly made us coffee and tea and engaged in lovely conversation. So personable and helpful! Breakfast was a delicious spread, and by far the best of all the hotels we stayed at.

Staying at Akkeri for a week in early March was wonderful. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. Our host was very helpful and made sure all the guests were taken care of. I liked that we had refrigerator space and all the utensils and dishes we needed to make our own breakfast and lunch, with tables to eat at. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were always available. We were also able to have a load of laundry done at a reasonable price. And we loved Stykkisholmur!

The facilities were immaculate and lovely and the view was great. We felt like we were in our own little world. GPS wasn't helpful for the last couple minutes of the drive, but the directions provided by the owner were clear and made it easy to find. Most friendly of hosts. Answered super fast and dealt with our questions promptly. As we arrived we were greeted with a lovely scent in the house. The house was spacious, modern and cozy. Would definitely stay here again!!!
