It’s a nice town to stop and visit but unless you’re staying longer to go to the beach, one day/one and a half should be enough to rent a bike and visit Grenen (the northern part of Denmark), the history museum (with the bunkers from WWII), the art museum and the ruins of a church. Walking around the city centre is quite nice as well.

It is a great place to spend a night.
It is a great place to spend a night. The village itself is small but lovely and ooze out the fisherman-type village atmosphere that you found dotted along the Northern European coast. It also contains several supermarkets where you can get grocery for your cooking.
The best place of interest is of course Grenen, the most Northern tip of Denmark in which if you come during winter time, expect to walk about 2.5 km. from the parking lot to the tip. In summer, there are local tractor that will help transport you.
Last but not least, don't miss the Skagen lighthouse, the view from the top is excellent and it has a good museum that tells you all about the bird migration. Also, the sand-covered church, although simple, its history is quite interesting.

It's located in the outskirts of Skagen, so unless you have a car, you'll need to walk for at least 40 min to reach down town. For hikers, the though, the location is great - between Skagen and former Old Skagen, now Højen.

Skagen is a tourist hot spot, victim to mass tourism like (in Europe) Venice, London, Amsterdam, Rome etc. You would not like to go there in high season, especially during July. Out of high season, however, you will appreciate that the weather is better than average in Denmark. Use this to your advantage, because when most of the high season invasion has receeded to their upper class ghettos, Skagen is really a cosy and romantic place with a lot to offer the casual traveller.

A good place to calm down for a few days, especially now in the in-between-seasons time. Still enough guests that a selection of restaurants, cafe and bars are still open. Great place to spend some time at beach enjoying the fresh breeze and the view between the 2 seas.

Anything between 6 hours to 12 hours is enough for the things to see. Renting a bike is a must if you don't have a car. No public transportation should be expected. Don't expect you can walk every where. Things are quite far for walking. Cycling is a better option
1. hotel staff is nice, friendly and professional, especially the one who welcomed us when we arrived (apologized, I don’t know his name).
2. I love the design and decoration of the hotel, which filled with pictures, drawings of Skagen, even the naming of each room is interesting. it made me feel the owner of the hotel loves the local cultures and so do we.
3. room is clean and comfortable
4. we love the breakfast in the hotel.
5. we rented bicycles in the hotel and the day spent with the bicycles is fantastic.
Great location right by the train station and close to all. Check in with Kim was great. He was full of ideas and knowledge, very helpful. He volunteered that there was to be music for my two night stay from 10.30pm -2 am. He was accommodating in finding me a room far from the music- he put me in an annex the hotel owns. It was absolutely quiet, comfortable, and even a small fridge. The bikes they had were well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and nicely presented.
Very lovely, clean and cosy place. The room was well equiped with necessities like water heater, soft towels, hairdryer, showering gel and shampoo. Breakfast, that was included in price, was very good, fresh and versatile. I stayed only for a night, but wouldn't mind staying longer. The location of the hotel is also very practical because you have shops, restaurants and bars just around the corner and the train station is just 5 minutes walking distance.
I had such a wonderful stay at Brøndum’s. The staff were beyond helpful, the breakfast included was so much more than I expected, and the hotel was exceptionally clean (and historic!). I stayed in the Admiral’s Garden (annex). I’d highly recommend it if you are on a budget. The room was very spacious, had a sink, storage and amenities. There was no problem sharing the private bathroom facilities, especially in November.
The campsite was near Rabjerg Mile, which you should really visit. We took our bikes and it was a ten minute ride.
Located nicely, not too far from Skagen (20-30m with car).
We had a holiday house for four people, which four us was very spacious since we are travelling with 2. The house was clean and had a small kitchen. But there was also a big kitchen with microwaves and ovens nearby.
Excellent location next to a very good patiserie, that opens from 6 o'clock in the morning. The home itself is beautiful and, well - it is home, not faceless hotel - but instead - place with a history and cozy feeling. Nicely furnished, spacious. Has all the things that you may need in terms of amenities and cookware.
Very friendly hotel in a great location in the centre of Skagen, with great staff and a comfortable room. The free breakfast was wonderful! Excellent quality, and a great start to the day. Very convenient private parking right behind the hotel, and it was free for us since it was off-season. Overall, a wonderful stay.
The host was very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. Communication was really good so it was easy to find the place, which is just near Skagen Station and the city center. There are also bikes available, which makes the place a good option when just commuting especially during off season.
Friendly, welcoming staff and very clean rooms / property. It was a bit of experience like at the AirBnB. In that good sense of being a guest in the someone's own home. Great location with close access to the main street and the waterfront.
The hotel is beautiful and the host is super helpful and friendly. The garden is really nice to sit for a coffee and a book. Breakfast was amazing, one of the best I've ever had. Totally recommended if you are traveling to Skagen
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast, including some homemade items. Perfect location. Close to everything but not on main drag. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
Superb hotel within close walking distance of town, museums and harbour. Clean styling and spotless, friendly staff and tasty breakfast buffet. Plenty of underground parking.
No other hotel gives the same comfort ad Color but alas it is a bit away whereabouts" it snows", but if you happen to have P- parket kors Down town you can survive 😉
Very good apartment for visiting skagen and sorroundings, just 20 minutes walking from the centre and 10 from the next train station. Very good cleaning
