Honored by Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, one of the holiest mosques in Islam, Medina is the 2nd most important Islamic pilgrimage site after Mecca. Surrounded by hills that have seen hundreds of people seek refuge in its oasis, this city has developed a range of modern facilities to host the pilgrims from all over the world.
Formerly named Yathrib, Medina is affectionately known as both the "Prophet’s City" and the "Radiant City". The Prophet Muhammad came to the city in the 7th century, seeking refuge from his opponents. According to Muslim theology, the last chapters of the Quran were revealed to him here.
The site where the Prophet lived is now occupied by the Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi or "Prophet’s Mosque". Although the mosque has changed and expanded over the years, the green dome is part of the original sanctuary.
Places like the Masjid Quba mosque, the Masjid Al-Qiblatain mosque and the Al-Baqi Cemetery also represent important holy sites in Medina.
Whether you arrive directly at Medina’s Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport or come from Mecca or Riyadh, check out the accommodation deals on Booking.com before traveling.

Location is good.
Location is good.
Room was not prepared; had to complain and to get it ready (issues with light, plumbing).
Breakfast items are almost the same everyday. Had the same soup for 10 days.
I will still stay here next time because of location.

The spritual journeys are always biased, however Madina...
The spritual journeys are always biased, however Madina Munawara is truly a peacful city. People are different. They are so humble and caring. Iftar at the prophet's mosque is an added "must have" experience. Always keep an extra hour to reach inside the mosque in rush days and rush times. Try the city tour on tourism open roof bus. City has excellent "dates" to take for relatives and friends. There are numerous historical places to visit. Keep 50% time to stay in masjid. 40% for rest and 10% to relax yourself by sightseeing or visiting nearby shops of ur interest. Remember main purpose is "ibadah". All things are available elsewhere in the world too..except for the holy mosque and its blessings. Finally do not overstay, if you get bored it may bring some evil. Check authenticity of hadith about 40 salas in madina yourself from hadith websites.

Madinah is a great city. It is calm without being boring.
Madinah is a great city. It is calm without being boring. The life of Prophet (PBUH) is everywhere and I loved experiencing this.
However, the closer one gets to the beautiful, I mean really beautiful AL HARAM mosque, the more expensive everything becomes. Makkah is relatively cheaper.

Very close to Haram.. within walking range
Very close to Haram.. within walking range
multiple options for food and coffee outlets and supermarkets in a very close proximity of hotel. I stayed as a single occupant and requested for a queen/king size bed but they did not accommodate my request and gave me the usual 4 single beds room.. Room was spacious in terms of length but it was useless for a single person staying... overall experience was good. Recommended property for travellers... 4 out of 5

1. I like the location is very good
2. I don't like the absence of basic facilities: Tissues, Towels, Kettle pots and cups, very poor WiFi, very old lifts, no proper reception desk, no bilingual personnel etc.
3. I don't like rate charged compared to neighbourhood properties and facilities.
Booking.com should improve checks on properties ' before loading for consumption as basis for decision.

Peaceful atmosphere.
Peaceful atmosphere. Masjid al Nawabi is an absolute beautiful mosque where our beloved Prophet’s grave lays. The surroundings are breath-taking. The are a lot of things to do and see like the Prophet’s biography museum, Jannatul Baqi, etc. The food court had a lot of options to offer too and we chose different cuisines on different days. It is easy to get around once you know your way around.
Almost everything! Location is the best. It's possible to walk to the center although not for the lazy souls. But to the old railwats station defunitely it's easy to walk. There are plenty of local restaurants around and a supermarket run by a friendly Indian gentleman literally in the back.
The bedoroom was super comfortable, very clean, well equipped and quiet. Beds were comfortable and I slept very well here. I booked for one night but decided to stay two more to rest from my trip around Saudi Arabia. Loved my stay.
Perfect location near a lovely promenade and some fantastic restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel is modern but has a distinct Saudi style: dignified luxury, nothing flashy. My room had lots of space and all the basic supplies, including many free water bottles. I could adjust the AC and tightly close the blackout curtains, which is why it was the best sleep I had for a long time. The personnel were very welcoming, friendly and quick to help. Highly recommended.
what I liked is how professional the staff was, how spacious the rooms they gave us, me and my friend who had another room, the hotel was very clean, I enjoyed the amazing photos they have across the room, about the history of Al Madina and Makkah, it was fantastic, the view from our room was also beautiful, it was located perfectly for us, big shouts for the amazing reception team, Sultana and Raed for their wonderful job, they are professional and very polite
The price of 125€ per night for a room in pension Saudi Arabia without any meal or any Star is extremely expensive. I was trusted in booking website, but unfortunately I am no longer trust in the price rate the you but. I have been in the city and I know the price of that kind of pension or hostel with out any service no more than 10-15 not 125€ . Bookings need to revise it police regarding the hotels in Saudi Arabia...
I feel that I scammed by booing
I used to come to this hotel with my family when I was young whenever we visit Madinah and 10 years later I stay here as a solo traveller and I am amazed at how this hotel is still the best. Spotless clean, amazing interiors , lovely staff and perfect location. Breakfast was really really good and the restaurant overlooks the haram. Seriously I am glad I didn't book at another hotel and came back to madinah hilton and will definitely be back again
We booked 2 rooms as we were a family of 6 travelling with young children. The staff member who dealt with us was extremely friendly. He upgraded us to executive suite free of charge so we could be together. He also allowed us to check out later. Room Service was extremely fast. All the staff were kind polite and went out of their way to look after us. This is the best hotel I have stayed at in Madinah and will be returning to in the future.
The location is nearby Quba Street.
Walking distance to the main attraction in Madinah, Nabawi Mosque.
And the hotel also nearby Ghars Well, another main attraction in Madinah.
The hotel perfectly clean and the room is very big.
The staff very polite and can speak Inggeris.
I was sick in Madinah, the staff help me, they let me to stay in the hotel even after check out. Thank you Abdul Rahman, you are the best staff.
The location and staff, this is not our first time to stay at Anwar Al Madina Movenpick, we always stay there when we visit Madina
we used to like how clean it was and their Haram view from the room was top of all and their amazing staff
This time despite our room had no meals in its rate, they gave us access to the executive lounge for Suhour snacks and coffee
Staffs were very friendly and supportive.
Malak - check-in reception staff helped us to check-in early. They provided the break fast voucher at the check-in day. Everything was great - Rooms, hotel facilities, staff guide you in the right direction, Internet, best hotel I stayed in Madinah so far.
The service from the minute we entered was amazing. The manager had to help us sort a few issues with our booking and he was excellent! I would highly recommend this hotel from the room size to the location it was perfect.
This is my best hotel in Madinah, everything was fine and good job from the management. room was fantastic and service was very good very near to the main gate for the prophet's mosque and ladies gate
