Cha Am is the first nice beach town you can get to South of Bangkok. The beach and town are quite nice, while of course nowhere near the islands or Andaman coast in terms of beauty. I like it for the friendly vibe, great restaurants affordable price level and relaxing beach while on the way through to more scenic locations. You can reach Cha Am in a day when driving from the North, e.g. 10 hours from Chiang Mai. That makes it a very good stop to spend a day or two.
Tucked away location, clean air, spotless room, excellent service, very friendly and courteous staff. Family-friendly, but lovely for couples. The restaurant food was abundant and delicious. Note: we only ate Thai food. It sits right on the beach. When we arrived, we were offered a much larger room with a full balcony at a small increase in price.

For Me Cha Am is, South Cha am beach and north Cha Am beach. North Cha Am Beach is better for Me, a lot of Thai people and less foreigners, a good mix. Water is not Clear as in Phuket area as Rawai, Kata, Karon. very big difference. but I do like Cha Am. The town area other side road Nr. 4. I do not know, as I]m not interested in towns. I do like Cha Am much more then Hua Hin.

Cha am is a great place to aim for when just arriving.
Cha am is a great place to aim for when just arriving. There is a fast bus directly from the airport. I use it the acclimatise, basically getting used to the heat and jet lag for a couple of days before moving on.

Typical Thailand, poverty and luxury hand in hand.
Typical Thailand, poverty and luxury hand in hand. Far too few facilities close by and location unless in the middle of the town. Seven Elevens every 200 yards. Taxis can be a scam so be aware of prices. We paid 105 baht one day and 220 baht the next (via hotel!).
Very nice swimming pool for children. Staff is friendly and helpful. The room is not the biggest one, but is sufficient. The bed is comfortable with good pillows. Wifi is good. Bathroom ok, don't need anything more. Water pressure good. Classic fridge, not that stupid cooling box. Electric kettle. Hair dryer. Nice wardrobe, lot of shelves and drawers.
This hotel is accessible by car, it is in the middle of nothing. If you want to visit some other places, car is probably a must. I.e. Cha Am beach with restaurants is about 10 km far.
Amazing hotel with terrific and super friendly staff, they are always there for you when you need them. The food is impeccable and very tasty full of amazing flavors. Beautiful rooms and very comfortable beds. The beach is almost adjacent to the pool, which is great for kids and adults. The offer an excellent shuttle bus service to Hua Hin to visit the night market or its very easy to take a Grab (Uber) anywhere. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone to find peace and tranquility away from the busy city of Hua Hin.
e stayed in apartment 859/428 for a week. The complex is lovely and the apartment is very modern, and for us it was very quiet with very few people about. The kitchen had everything we needed. The WiFi was excellent.
Joolpipop was very helpful throughout our stay.
The town and the people are wonderful and the food at the restaurants is superb.
A car or other transport is handy to go to Cha Am and Hua Hin. We did not try the public transport.
My overall rating is: 4/5, at least meet my expectation of my first time visit.
- Room was good. A few things didn't work properly but that's fine by me.
- Breakfast and services was good, meet my expectation.
- Spa and fitness was also good, at lease the fitness was the best I've ever used in nearby area hotels.
- Dinner at the beach restaurant was great.
Nice guest house within 50 metres of the beach. The owners & their staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a double room with a balcony on the third floor with limited ocean views, owing to trees lining the beach front. There are some cafes, bars & 711 stores close by. If you want a "relaxing, peaceful holiday", then Cha Am is a good choice.
The hotel just right across from the beach. There’re shops and convenient stores around. Underground parking is nice to keep the car away from the heat. The room is spacious, bed is super comfy. The staff are very nice and attentive, especially the lady at the restaurant by the beach.
Excellent value, reception ever helpful. Location tremendous, walk to the beach, restaurants and bars, within 50-100metres. Room is clean and simple. Good A/C, large bathroom, Fridge and complimentary water. Well run, Guest House/Small Hotel. Recommended
nice sandy beach, large, clean pool, ping pong, pétanque. staff is kind. the chalet is ageing but comfortable, everything works. breakfast was excellent. hotel provides bicycles which is great! very good little restaurants and 7/11 nearby.
Small but very nice decorated hotel not far from the sea in Cha Am.
Breakfast can be selected from different menus on the day of arrival. A refreshing coconut is included.
Highly recommend for a short break, very friendly reception.
Lived in Thailand for 8 years for my taste this is the perfect place. Old Style but well maintained photos don't do it justice.. rooms are kept very clean and maintained very well.. We went with my family and everyone loved it..
Swimming pool, with the swimming pool bar. Breakfast selection, including espresso machine (not so common in Thailand, so great to have that). Beach access. Huge room with excellent view.
