Beautiful hotel with such a friendly staff. Rooms are good quality and spacious. That also have free kayaks at the property that can be taken to the sea via a small river. Good motorbikes are available for rental. They also have a restaurant and convince store at the property. Even though there was no vegetarian options in the menu, they made vegetarian thai food without fish sauce and egg for my mother.

Tolani Resort Koh Kood, hotel in Ko Kood

Located along Klong Chao Beach in Trat, Tolani Resort Koh Kood features luxurious beachfront accommodations, a spa and a restaurant.

The hotel is very conveniently located not only close to the ferry (arrived on the KoKut Express) but also in a somewhat secluded areas near one of the best beaches on the island. It offers daily activities (though the one I wanted to do was canceled last minute), and free activities, such as kayaking. You can kayak up a river that ends right near the hotel or into the sea. I was able to walk to an area to watch the sunset, which was stunning. The room was comfortable though too big for one traveler (a queen and two doubles). I love that you get as much water as you need. The food at the restaurant was pretty good, though I ended up eating at other places after the first night. The hotel is also very close to a scooter rental place.

    Beautiful nature, amazing beaches.

Beautiful nature, amazing beaches. But if you want to explore the island you need a scooter. Some little shops with stuff you need, but nothing special. It is a remote island without big infrastructure, so i enjoyed the feeling of a bit adventure. And as i mentioned, the nature was spectaculous. .

This is a stunning and beautiful resort in Ko Kood.

This is a stunning and beautiful resort in Ko Kood. It is the most lovely place I’ve ever been. The bungalow we were given is on its own little island with a fantastic view of the sea. We loved it so much we were really pleased to be able to stay longer. The staff are really kind and were always available to help with anything. It is great to swim here as the water is clear and you can see fish swimming in it. The fire show was great fun. We liked some food more than others but loved the banana pancakes. We’d definitely come again if the opportunity arose.

Ko Kood is advertised as an unspoilt island paradise, in my opinion, it is not. The arrival/departure pier is a mess, too much rubbish, not the welcome sight I was expecting. The 20-30 minute drive from the pier to the resort let us see a good part of the island. Most buildings, restaurants, hostels looked ‘tired’ - perhaps this is a post-pandemic situation. You have to be comfortable riding a scooter (and have insurance as the roads are quite steep and windy) to explore the island. I only ate at the Koh Kood Resort, which I found was not value for money, the portion sizes were small. The beach was safe and the water clear, I was expecting more fish. The resort’s facilities were adequate but I was expecting better. As an older, disabled person, I would not recommend the resort or island as a suitable place to visit. I would not visit Koh Kood again. For me, Koph Chang is a better option as you can take your car on the island.

Wonderful, had whole beaches to ourselves, friendly people a world away from Bangkok. Easy to get about on a scooter even for first timers. Bring sturdy shoes for waterfalls though. Great snorkeling locations too

This place is literally a paradise.

This place is literally a paradise. Get on a scooter and ride through jungle tracks to find deserted beaches, sea is pale blue just like in the pictures. Hardly any traffic at all, no banging music and crazy people, seems like everyone there is there for relax. I loved it and am going back for more.

The beach was one of the best in my life.

The beach was one of the best in my life. Crystal clear water and sandy beach. The beach in front of my hotel was really great (Bang Bao Beach or something) However, it was not easy for getting there and getting around especially during long holiday. The speedboat to the island was expensive and very bad management on the sitting (no reservation seat). You have to park at their parking lot and sitting on shuttle carts to the pier. When you reach the island, they offered free delivery service but you have to be "packed" on a truck with strangers for quite a long ride (>20 mins) to up and down road to my hotel. The food here was very nice. However, most restaurant trend to take very long time before the food would arrive.

This place is amazing - great staff, great food, great atmosphere. The resort is 10 min walk from the nearest beach. For others you need to have a scooter - you can rent one from the owner for 250 baht/day. The place is quiet and peaceful. In the beginning I was supposed to stay just for three nights, but I liked it so much that I decided to extend my stay. The restaurant in the resort is open from 6 pm to 8 pm and serves amazing Thai food. I strongly recommend this place for a stay on Koh Kood. I would definitely come back again.

You have to be ready for basic but for me it was the best place I could choose on the island. You get a very clean and simple room, the staff is super nice but also not invasive. You’ll have one of the most beautiful beach just few steps from your porch. You can rent a kayak and a scooter from the hotel. The food at their restaurant is delicious. There is nothing else you might need. I think one of the most important thing about this place is that it didn’t feel much like a hotel or resort but more as you just rented the bungalow.

If you’re looking for a typical beach resort on a white sandy beach, this is not the resort for you. If you love having uninterrupted sea views from your bedroom though, this is perfect. Simple rooms but with some luxuries (a fridge, a kettle in each room…) Friendly hosts, thank you Peter for your warm welcome and all the advice! Fantastic snorkeling at your doorstep! And there’s also a great fish restaurant and a minimart just around the corner. We absolutely loved our stay here and would love to come back!

We enjoyed our stay so much. We had breakfast included and you can choose from a big menu. Also ate dinner there every evening, the food was amazing and if you cant eat spicy they really dont make it spicy for you but the food is still full of flavour. We rented scooters directly from the hotel and would drive around the island the whole day. One of the best beaches on the island is a very short scooter trip from the hotel. The staff was super friendly. Would definitely stay there again

Everything! The staff are amazing, they make you feel like family. The location is breathtaking, its like being in the middle of a rainforrest but at the beach, the sounds of the birds and the rain it was amazing. Also very handy shop nearby. The food was the best Ive ever experienced in any hotel. In addition to High Season staff, every other person I met on Koh Kood was so kind, friendly and helpful. It is a wonderful community.

The location is extraordinary - away from the bustling world - practically in the jungle and about 400 m from sea: peaceful and haven of rest. Bit worried about the future as there is an increase in the amount of tourists coming to Koh Kut, and of course more facilities are being built - perhaps overcrowding and then it is not so zen anymore. The family work together in team to provide the best services for their guests.

The hosts and owners are the best! Extremely helpful, easy going, funny and good company :) Very clean rooms with working mosquito nets everywhere. No traffic noise, the location is literally carved into the jungle. Very good bug control (late April). If you like peace and quiet and the sounds of nature, this is the place for you!

Sensationally friendly staff, super well maintained grounds, heavenly beds and beautifully appointed cottages, coupled with the best Thai food I've eaten in almost thirty years of going to Thailand regularly. The tranquility is heavenly and the location is second to none. I never wanted to leave. Simply quite unique and wonderful.

If it's peace & quiet you seek you will not go wrong here! Run by a lovely family who do all they can possibly do to help you enjoy your time. Would highly recommend.
