The hotel I had booked into was closed but I wasn’t told until I got there. I had booked a room with balcony and bath. No balcony at new hotel and bath plug didn’t fit so I couldn’t have a bath. Couldn’t regulate the air conditioning so had to open window to allow cool air in. Food mediocre, eg smoked salmon covered in oil which overpowered taste. Car parking a longish trek to hotel Levante. Room clean but mould around grout in bath. Lots of missing tiles at many of the pool areas. Was disappointed that the spa access included in the room rate did not include all access. Paid for a massage which felt rushed and not very good. Food quite good in the adjacent hotel.

You need to speak Spanish and walk long distances to the pools- massage and other restaurants. Not good for older travelers. Get a different address by calling them to use your navigation. Dinner restaurants don’t open till 830pm on the entire property. There is nothing in the rooms to explain a rather complex property with many wonderful facilities.The food was very slow in the main hotel restaurant and the waiters couldn’t understand a request to pack my main courses for carry out after we waited an hour for our food( by that time it was 10 PM).

The Spa is probably the best in Europe in an immaculate setting. Ideal for a relaxing time, where you can switch off from the outside world. A selectionof places to eat at reasonable prices, with the Agua restaurant topping the list.

This is a great place for thermal pools c. 34/35c as well as spa treatments of all kinds. The mud & massage were brilliant. We went in January so it was pretty quiet which was nice. Very few other tourists which we liked - mostly Spanish people having a winter break. The bar, snack bar & restaurant were all good & it is set amidst palm & fruit trees . It’s about 30 mins walk from Archena, & there is a bus . It’s about an hour’s drive to Alicante airport & 20-30 mins by car to Murcia but a world away from the tourist hubs of the Mar Menor or the Costa Brava.

The balneario is nice. It is a travel in time. Cures are ok but expensive. The pool is crowded and the spa is better but expensive as well. Check out for offers. Village nice with 2 miradores, nice park and restaurants.

Everything makes your stay more pleasant, the full kitchen with clothes washing machine, comfortable beds, shower system and even an underground parking garage with your own remote! You have a balcony to enjoy some fresh air. All is spotless and CLEAN. The Archena thermal baths are pretty nearby. Miguel and Olga, your hosts, are very caring and will make sure you have an enjoyable stay.

Ample space for a 1 night stay. Nice 1km nature walk to the balneario. They give you a voucher for the spa, which was a nice surprise. Free parking is included but decided to leave it on the street as there was enough parking near the hotel. Met the owners during dinner and they were very nice. Decent Spanish-style breakfast.

We are a family of 5 and we really enjoyed our stay. Archena is a beautiful town and everything is within walking distance. Juanita is really lovely and very accommodating. We arrived later than the latest booking time but she made arrangements so we could still have the keys for our apartment.
