Benisuera is a small, tranquil village with lovely countryside on the doorstep. The casa rural is an interesting house with history and exactly the same can be said for the host, Enric! He could not have made us more welcome, our room was perfect and our breakfast reasonably substantial and provided with a smile by Estela, who is the manager.
The village bar was not open on this particular Friday but we were able to have a drink and tapas a couple of kilometres away at Alfarassi.
There was no problem parking our car right outside the property in a square where the ancient castle-palace is undergoing renovation.
The casa itself is about 170 years old so stairs are rather steep and there is no lift but we managed fine.
