As the city that brought paella to the world, Valencia is a culinary delight. Don't miss out on sipping fresh, local orange juice or enjoying tasty tapas in a sidewalk café.
Wandering this relaxed city is like taking a walk through history. From the Roman remains in the archaeological museum to the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, the architecture ranges from the dramatic to the sublime. A mix of styles from the outside, medieval Valencia Cathedral comes into its own inside. The gilt carvings and vibrantly-painted dome are a sight to behold.
The greatest triumph of city planning is the Turia River Park. Created on the bed of a redirected river, it provides much-needed shade in a city with an impressive sunshine record. Of course, you can always cool down on the fantastic beaches, lapped by warm Mediterranean waters.
Former hosts of the European Grand Prix, Valencians take their sport seriously and so they should. Try to take in a match at the 75,000-seater Valencia FC stadium to experience the electric atmosphere.
As Spain’s 3rd largest city, Valencia has wild nightlife, so if that’s your cup of tea, city center hostels are a great choice. Alternatively, Booking.com also has guesthouses, central apartments and even hotels near Valencia Airport.
Enjoyed seeing the beautiful costumes and ninots. However very noisy and streets were dirty and smelly.Littered with rubbish and broken glass.
Many shops and attractions closed because of the festival.
Hard to sleep at night because of noise.
Paella course was excellent and the highlight of our week.
Taxis reasonable and plentiful .However centre closed to traffic due to festival.
Red bus tour was a waste of money as because roads closed its route was different and information system wouldn’t work properly. We were not informed about this till part way through our trip.
Wouldn’t go back when the Fallas is on .

The week before the Fallas the town is preparing with the Mescleta, fireworks and the building of the wagons (on the streets). It is busy and noisy - Spanish people like to use firecrackers. The touristic visit was a little bit influenced by alterations in bus connections and blocked roads, slight changes in opening hours. But we had enough time to see a lot of the highlights - the Catedral, climbing the Miguelete tower (207 steps), museum of fine arts, the Church of Saint-Nicolas (also named the Sixtin chapel of Spain) the Calatrava buildings, Oceanografic (with fantastic delphin show), the playas, the Museu Fallero, the Ceramic museum, shopping, excellent food. We did over 65,000 steps. Still so much more to do...

A very beautiful city with small crooked streets and a fantastic atmosphere. Park on the place of an old river bed is just amazing and it is probably one of those cities where new architecture has a harmonia with old one.

Valencia is a great place to visit with a lot to enjoy.
Valencia is a great place to visit with a lot to enjoy. It was the beginning of the Fallas festival celebrations so the city became totally involved in parades and pyrotechnics and huge (but well behaved and friendly) crowds. Plenty of good restaurants without a doubt, some very much for the tourists though. The bus/tube system worked well for us, other than when the central areas were closed for celebrations.

Valencia is a fun and great city, with a beautiful and rich historic center, and an incredibly impressive modern architecture that includes the science museum, the oceanic museum, the opera house etc. Most museums are free.
Plus, local people are not at all tired of tourists, on the opposite, they are warm and welcoming. A great city to visit absolutely !
Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice view of the park & the Cuidad de las Artes y de las Ciencias. Located in a beautiful & quiet area within walking distance to various dining options & El Corte Ingles. Large windows. Modern glass-walled shower area. Complete toiletry essentials. Microwave, small kitchen & dining area. Lucky for us, street parking in front of hotel was free & available. We enjoyed our stay at Secrotel Valencia Alameda.
I love original features of the building and very friendly staff. Localisation is exelent, walking distance both to the City centre and the beach/port. Rooms very clean attended every day, modern with all essentials including little fridge. Sound proof windows so nothing disturbed at night. We had breakfast opposite the hotel in a little local caffee really cheap and delicious, love coffee they served and had lactofree milk 🥰
Everything was really easy. Also, we had a big car and could not fit the parking, but staff from front desk explained all my options and I ended up finding the cheapest parking in Spain. Also, the toaster made our electricity went out, and when we asked for assistance, they just came up in only 1 minute and replaced our toaster in 5 minutes. Our experience in Valencia was much better with the Urban Flat Apartments.
Very close to the beach, bus, supermarket. There are some nice restaurant on the beach too, very close. For our family with 2 kids, it was a perfect stay. Even though it was pretty far away from oceanografic and city center, staying on the beach every evening was a big big plus. Also we had the possibility to leave the luggage at the hotel reception when we arrived and the day we left for a few hours.
I loved that they made an effort for my partners birthday with the prosecco and chocolates! I really appreciated it!
The hotel was on the beach front, breakfast was OK, very limited selection but the scrambled eggs and tomatoes were lovely!
The bed was comfortable I liked the idea of the light switches if you wanted a room clean or to not be disturbed
The staff were helpful and lovely!
Solo traveled to Spain from the states and this place couldn’t have been better. They really care about they do and make life easier. Everyday it felt like I had a friend and someone who had my back via - which made a huge difference in such a big adventure. Thank you for your incredible kindness and hospitality. If you are looking somewhere you can feel like home this is it
Parking location was accessible directly from the Hotel and provided a secure garage for our car. Not cheap, but worth it.
Terrace rooftop bar was a great getaway spot in the evening and the limited menu was surprisingly good. The breakfast buffet is impressive but pricey if you only lean towards a small, continental type of breakfast like we do.
Hotel room was nice and clean. The towels were changed every day, the bed was awesome.
The breakfast was good and tasty. Not too much diversity but for us was ok. Fresh and good quality drinks.
The good position of the hotel, on the beach, and near the tram station, metro, and bus station.
Hotel Sweet Renasa was clean and as in the pictures. The staff were very helpful although they didn't all speak English. The breakfast was adequate. The parking lot nearby was great and you could pay it directly at the hotel for the entire visit and it was cheaper that way. WiFi worked fine.
Quite and very clean rooms and it is just a few minutes to the beach. I really enjoyed the hotel and I feel like home and the host Zara was very friendly and helpful. And definitely I will book this hotel when I plan to come back again to Valencia.
Lovely boutique hotel; clean and modern style, sizeable bedroom and bathroom. Plentiful breakfast was great value for €9. All the staff I met (receptionists, barista, cleaner) were warm and friendly. Location is perfect for visiting the old town.
Beautiful new hotel in an old building. Large spacious room with full kitchen facilities and very comfortable. Right in the centre of Valencia close to the main market and near many of the famous sites. Surrounded by bars and restaurants.
Great location and great staff, I forgot my phone charger at the hotel and the staff save it until I was able to come back to get it, everyone very friendly and in the location is the best, in the center of Valencia.
The hotel is small and friendly. Breakfast is excellent. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, and well-appointed. The location is excellent for public transport as well as a taxi rank, and is right on the beach.
Hotel was of a really high quality. The staff were always friendly and our room was cleaned twice a day. Pool area was very nice and good number of beds. Location is right on the beach.
Nice and clean hotel at the edge of Valencia's Old Town, in a quiet street near main shopping area. Good value for family stay, very kind and helpful personnel.
