Beautiful town, loads of trails for hiking and running.
Beautiful town, loads of trails for hiking and running. Some really nice eateries and especially the famous almond dulcerias - come early in the morning as they get pretty busy in the middle of the day!

The hotel is in a superb location for hikers as it is positioned at the intersection of many of the best walks on Gran Canaria . The building faces west and looks over the mountain tops, which gives a stunning view, especially when the sun is setting. All the bedrooms also face roughly ina westerly direction so there is no fear of missing out when reserving your stay, however the winds were very strong when we stayed there in January so not really possible to use the balcony.Tea and coffee making facilities not available, would have appreciated a welcome drink or a cup of tea on arrival and air conditioning/heating unit didn't appear to work despite the appearance of a new control unit. If you are not interested in hiking there isn't any other nearby activities, however, it is still a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the scenery.

A very pretty little town/village with a modest selection of cafes, bars and restaurants and a small but well stocked supermarket. You'll need to eat fairly early in the evening though as most places seemed to be closed by 8pm (in April).
A great base from which to access the superb hiking trails in the area.

Pay attention at the evening restaurants.
Pay attention at the evening restaurants. Some are indicated as open, but if the owner doesn’t feel like to open he won’t…. So you might spend some time to get food.
I recommend to go at the bakery dulceria de Tejeda. Great pastries 😄

Gorgeous for a short stay, great for those wanting to hike, bike or study nature. Useless for the night-lifers or those wanting the party lifestyle found in the south. Tiny town, only one shop and a farmacia. A few restaurants, but no hotel. No sophisticated. Very rural

I was on a walking holiday and so Tejeda was perfect.
I was on a walking holiday and so Tejeda was perfect. I did the long walk around Roque Nublo. Itinerary no 2 from the tourist information. Scenery in the area is superb. Strangely bars and restaurants seem to close early, possibly because the town seems to cater for day trippers.
Very nice family home at the edge of Tejeda. The house is spacious, nicely designed and spotlessly clean. It has a covered terrace with good views next to the living room and an open rooftop terrace with great mountain views in all directions. The house is well equipped and would also be suitable for a long-time stay. Wi-Fi was very fast (300 Mbps) and stable. Friendly check-in by the mother of the host. Tejeda is busy with visitors during daytime. In the evening, it is very quiet and the restaurants close early.
The location is perfect for a stay in Tejeda. Just a short walk to everything, the Spa, cafes and restaurants all close by. Amazing views from the property. There is a park just outside the property with amazing views for the sunset each day, so don't worry if the upstairs apartment with a balcony isn't available, you can just go and sit in the park instead! Walking through the park is also a shortcut to the restaurants. There's also lots of friendly cats in the area.
The view from the house is great. The house is very well equipped, clean and spacious.
It is walking distance from the city center of the beautiful city of Tejeda and (car) close to starts of some nice trails. The terrace is beautiful, however we've been here in January when it was quite cold and windy so we didn't had the chance to enjoy it. Free parking in front of the house. Self check-in was very convenient.
Super easy check-in, delightful location right in the centre of the pedestrianised old town of Tejeda. Parking is in a communal dirt parking lot up the hill, only 5 mins walk away from the accomm - no issue for us as we just had backpacks. Kitchen well stocked with essentials/oil/salt/pepper etc, really comfortable living area and sufficiently warm for the cool February nights. Would happily stay again.
I enjoyed my stay at this property. The property is centrally located and is ideal for short-term stays. Restaurants are all within easy walking distance. There is a supermarket literally downstairs. One of the best aspects of this property is the view from the front windows. Having breakfast with that view makes it worth it.
We had such a great time in Tejeda and really enjoyed our stay in Casa Santana Segura. Alicia is a fantastic host and the house has everything you need and more! We had fresh bread waiting for us every morning in the patio area. It's clean and good value for money. The surrounding area is breathtaking, so much to do around.
I’ve stayed here while walking the Camino de Gran Canaria. It is located a bit off the path but the bus stops in front of the place so in the morning you don’t have to climb back up. The hostel is simple, the staff is welcoming, it is perfect for a one night stay. The view from the garden is absolutely breathtaking.
The location in the middle of nowhere is a paradise.
The hotel is great and the views are breathtaking even from the bedroom.
The little terrace in the bedroom is nice.
The spa is really nice especially during sunset time.
The food at the restaurant is really good with a lot of choice.
Great apartment with everything you need to be comfortable while exploring the island. Breathtaking scenery everywhere and thrilling mountain roads. The owners are really nice folks that take good care of everything. Amazing hiking options right from Tejeda. Highly recommend!
Eva our hostess was fantastic.
Hotel a few hundred meters away from the main strip so very quite. Stunning view from the terrace outside our room.
Breakfast diversified with many choices
Highly recommend the restaurant owned by the hotel which is about a 500 meter walk
Our stay was outstanding. The hosts were incredibly helpful and kind. The views of Tejeda were phenomenal, and it was great to be so centrally located. We loved the hiking opportunities nearby. The place was immaculate - outstanding value. We would absolutely stay again!
The room was large with a generous sitting area and balcony with an amazing view over the mountains.
The hotel had a fabulous location with lots of hiking possibilities. The hotel is very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and evening meal.
Brilliant location as a centre for walking in the mountains. If the weather's bad in the north you can head south and visa versa. There're pretty good choice of restaurants in Tejeda and of course the famous almond pastry shops.
Tejeda is a stunning mountain village right in the centre of Gran Canaria. The Eco Cave house is a magical place to stay. It’s simple but very comfortable. If you want to live like a local this is the place to stay. We loved it.
The room was clean and comfortable and but the best part was the balcony overlooking both Roques. 1 min walk to a supermarket and 2-3 minute walk to the restaurants and bakeries in Tejeda.
The location was great as the house was in the historical part of Tejeda. It was close to restaurants. The house was small and quirky which we liked. It was very quiet at night.
