Comfort Inn Port Hope, hotel in Cobourg

The Comfort Inn hotel is located near the Capitol Arts Center atmospheric theater, the Art Gallery of Northumberland and Port Hope Golf and Country Club.

Stayed here with my son for a local hockey tournament. Staff was friendly, beds were comfortable, breakfast was well stocked and staffed. Facilities are a little run down, but for a short stay at a reasonable price this hotel provides the basics.

This Port Hope property is conveniently located off Highway 401. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. Rooms feature a refrigerator, a coffee maker and a microwave.

This place is underrated from the outside. These people are the best in what they do here with this place. Coming from another country & starting over with nothing. They've got a great investment here. I think this guy's a master craftsman! He & his wife have done an excellent job with this place. I would stay here again next time I'm passing through Toronto, Ca.

I loved that you could walk everywhere.

I loved that you could walk everywhere. Lots of restaurants and bars, and little shops. In the summer the beach would be very inviting. We went to a pub at night before our show at the Victoria concert hall,. We had a excellent breakfast at the buttermilk cafe.

The accommodation for an extra bed was right and delivered on request. I forgot my clothes in the room closet and asked the manager to have them returned to my proper address using my room deposit cover the cost… It was a light parcel containing five pue e clothing…called many time and never received them…I paid well my stay but courtesy should have been included…!

    Cobourg has something for everybody.

Cobourg has something for everybody. It's a quiet town with an interesting combination of (1) a sizeable marina catering to serious boaters & sailors, (2) a large sandy public beach area that attracts mostly families, and (3) a quaint historical tourist/restaurant zone that seems to be frequented mostly by seniors.

A beautiful town with some spectacular houses. Loved the marina and the houses along the water. Next time we're there, I'd love to walk around the town and see the sights and the concert hall We arrived as the sun was setting and had to leave before noon the next morning

    The town was charming.

The town was charming. Nice old homes, a beautiful large beach with a nice marina as well. Some nice restaurants and very close to Port Hope which we visited as well. Unfortunately they roll up the sidewalks downtown between 8pm and 9pm. We left our room on Saturday night at 9:30pm to get something to eat and everything was closed except the fast food joints close to the highway.

Cobourg is a delightful town full of history and boasts the best beach on Lake Ontario (in our experience). It's very accessible, not only by road but enjoys excellent train service as well. Although it is growing quite quickly it has managed to retain its small town charm.

Outstanding stay at the Willowmere. What a cozy and quaint bed and breakfast. I loved the location, with a private outdoor sitting area and access to a private beach. The size was perfect for two people. We felt the bed was comfortable and the memory foam pillows were a luxe touch. We read other reviews that said the space was too crowded or had too many knick knacks but we felt this gave the space character and a special feel. Wouldn't change a thing! Jane was a great host. Will certainly be back!

The location was fantastic. I was able to leave my car safely parked and walk everywhere I was going. Cobourg is a nice small town with a beautiful marina and gorgeous beach. The space is somewhat crowded but you have everything you need to have a lovely stay. Jane is very welcoming and access to lots of options for sitting in the sun or shade and enjoying the water.

The restaurant exceeded all expectations. A small but mighty wine list and excellent meals. Best steak I’ve had in Ontario. My sons butter chicken was perfect, light, aromatic, flavorful. Large, beautifully appointed rooms. The best sleep I’ve had in weeks thanks to the comfortable bed and privacy. I will be staying there again.

The breakfast did not have very many options, there was no croissants, bagels, nor was there any cream cheese or fruit, which is unheard of at a hotel, even a motel would have those things.
