Just the perfect 1/2 way point from the ferry to Egmont...
Just the perfect 1/2 way point from the ferry to Egmont...loved that it was so close to Sechelt as well but never more than a 45 minute drive anywhere. Most driving consisted of under 1/2 hour to get to any hikes etc that we wanted to go.

An absolutely gorgeous area on the Sunshine coast.
An absolutely gorgeous area on the Sunshine coast. The water is warm and inviting. The forest and mountains offer unparalleled views. Truly a unique gem of the south coast of British Columbia. Check out Egmont area for beautiful lakes, a cool pub at backeddy lodge, Ruby lake's La Trattoria was amazing, as was Inlets at West Coast Wilderness Lodge.

The views are nice.
The views are nice. Unfortunately the shores are rocky and there isn't really beach or swimming available. The only people we saw enjoying the water were floating on inner tubes in a small freshwater reservoir off the highway. We found it overrun on a summer weekend and we couldn't even find a restaurant that was open of not full. We cut our stay short and moved on to our next location.JasonCanada - 10Scored 10
There was a lot to see and do.
There was a lot to see and do. I wish we’d stayed longer so we could have explored more of the nature trails. The natural beauty is breathtaking.The food at Shift restaurant was outstanding. The atmosphere was fun and the staff were excellent.

Great host, lovely garden patio suite with ocean glimpses. Every thing you could want but no restaurants. I am celiac and always carry food, so I was OK. We were on bikes so driving to a nearby restaurant was not an option for us. The little local general store had no gluten free products.danielleCanada

The breakfast provided was exceptional! It was like eating in a Michelin star restaurant. We appreciated the lovely garden patios to eat on and visit on. The hot tub was a treat to soak in at the end of the day. We liked having a separate living room and bedroom area so one of us could go to bed before the other.LanaCanada

Luckily for us the owners/hosts were very forthcoming and would let us in our suite no worries. It's a very very pretty spot in the woods with a tiny bit of ocean view. Loved the big windows in our room and I hope the cute backyard with the firepit will soon be open to chill! Thanks for our hospitality
