    Loved the free zoo!!

    Loved the free zoo!! We packed a picnic lunch & played at the park. We also really enjoyed checking out the boat locks. 241 pizza was delicious & quick for a large order. The view of water was nice near our hotel “holiday inn waterfront” Overall great place to visit!

    Had a most restful holiday in Peterborough. A “ feel right-at-home” environment. A remarkably friendly staff at the hotel we stayed at ( Best Western) Special thanks to these folks, who made our stay so pleasant!

    Peterborough has beautiful green spaces and lots of hiking...

    Peterborough has beautiful green spaces and lots of hiking trials. The University offers many cultural events open to the public (i.e. Powwow). Plus the campus is beautiful even in the winter months. Also, there are many shopping options and not far to Oshawa or Go Train to Toronto.

    It has been many years since I’ve been to Peterborough and I...

    It has been many years since I’ve been to Peterborough and I was shocked at the degradation over large part of the downtown… Graffiti and lots of homeless with obvious signs of prolific drug use. In three days I was there I never saw a single police officer. I did not feel safe in the downtown. It’s no longer the beautiful city I remember and would never consider retiring there.

    I all ready gave my big review, but one thing I noticed later was this star reward for each night you stay of which I Have lost out on as staff did not inform me about. The only negative to my trip. Also reviewing all the things to see and do which the area has plenty of. Was not a part of this trip. I live in peterborough and this stay was a birthday getaway.

    Our room was not made up, we were told we should have asked...

    Our room was not made up, we were told we should have asked for that service as Covid is an issue, which I understand. We should have been informed of this at checkin. We’re told this was explained in our reservation. I looked and could not find this in the 5 reservations and reminders you send me. I asked that the manger call me when we checked out as she was not there at the time. I called at 10.24 am on August 14 and am still waiting for Nicole to call me. We have stayed at many Hampton inns and this is the first and probably last time we will. Very disappointed, They did give us a $20.00 credit, that still does not cut it

    Lovely hotel which I find is one of the best Comfort hotels I ever stayed in the past. Breakfast is very good, staff is very nice and helpful, room is lovely, beds are very comfortable, swimming pool is beautiful. Clean and nice hotel. Loved the location as it has joined door with Kelseys which was very convenient for my senior parents to go to when they need a meal. It is also very close to the down town, just 8min drive. The hotel exceeded my expectations

    I have stayed here many times..The hotel is very nice.It resembles many boutique hotels I have stayed in the past.This is definately a hidden Gem.Located right downtown.Very safe and clean.With restaurants and bars right beside it.Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

    The hotel ventilation was surprisingly good - CO2 was in a low range, indicating that the air was being refreshed regularly. We are still in a pandemic, and ventilation is one key way to protect one another.
