Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia, was an amazing place to stay.
Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia, was an amazing place to stay. The town's vibrant blue and white architecture, delicious food, and friendly people made it a truly memorable experience. I also enjoyed seeing the many street cats that were a part of the town's charm.

A beautiful little town, full of local charm, everything you need is within walking distance, cheap public transport. Its an extremely safe and hospitable place with very friendly people. My partner could walk around at night, enjoying the warm nights (in december),feeling safe while, she enjoyed feeding the beautiful cats that roam the streets. We both work from home, so it was important to have a good quality internet, and the WiFi was of great quality and very reliable.

liked the vibe, the white & blue buildings
But did not like how persistent shop assistants can get.
My favourite place was Le Villa Blue & Ben Rahim Cafe
I ate pasta
Very easy to get around Sidi Bou Saiid
On my next visit, I would avoid going when hot season started.

This is a moment in time that grows better and better: a retreat from a 100 years ago for artists and intellectuals and Tunisians who prize the mountain top view of the bay and the city below, the white and blue houses, and the quiet. It has its own rewards and none of the rush or noise found in similar such places. It's a gem that has yet to be ruined.

Sidi Bou Said is a Unesco village located on top of a cliff, hence the view from the terrace of the property. and there is always a light breeze, much appreciated in high temperature. It is full of character, quiet and quaint. It is pedestrianised. Tends to be busy with tours and in the evenings with locals coming for fresh air, but that's part of the atmosphere.
Transport is also good - the train at the bottom of the hill goes to Tunis for shopping in the Medina or La Marsa for good beaches.
There is a well-stocked supermarket at the bottom of the hill.
The location was just perfect for us as it was close to the centre of Sidi Bou Said and also very close to the University of Carthage where we had work commitments. The house is beautiful, very spacious, well decorated with a lovely outside dining area on the roof. The area is safe and there are many restaurants and bars at walking distance, a supermarket is at 10 minutes walk. The added value to the apartment is the owner Raouf, very kind and friendly and always available for assistance. The apartment has for sure a good value for money.
Maison Dedine is the only boutique hotel in Tunisia that have the luxury service, this is my second stay in the hotel, and it will not be my last. From the first step inside started the WOW effect, I was received by Mr. Yassine, who presented very well the image of the place, responded to all my calls even when he was not working, and did his best to serve our needs.
I was there with friends, impressed by everything in the place, the view of the sea and Jebel Boukornine, rooms, cleanliness, decoration, breakfast, and service.
It is a villa so we had no breakfast. The location is great if central Sidi Bou Saed is your focus. The villa has 4 bedrooms with more space available for kids to sleep. The sqaure footage is big enough for a group. All the amennities are there that you would look for in a whole house. The rooftop view is fantastic for sunrises and sunsets. It is a classic French design found all over Sidi Bou Saed. Many restaurants and great views are very close walking distance from the villa.
The location is exquisite. The hotel (an embassy for the past 20 years) is unique and immaculately styled. However, what really won me over, was the service we received from the staff - which was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful throughout our entire visit, they even packed a takeaway lunch for us when leaving on a early morning flight. Also, the breakfast is fantastic and dinner menu delicious. I highly recommend ''La Demeure'' for your Sidi Bou Said stay.
My wife and I had a lovely stay at la Menara.
We experienced the warmest of welcome Tunisia is so famous for.
Overlooking the Tunis bay in the scenic Sidi Bou Said town.
Beautifully decorated rooms, spa and very professional staff who made our stay so enjoyable.
A truly lovely place that I will come back to on my next trip to Tunis.
Well equipped, clean and spacious apt with comfortable bed. Walking distance from restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy and historical area of Sidi Bou Said. Beiji, the host, was super friendly and welcoming. Easy check-in/out and smooth communication all the way through.
This was a wonderful stay in Sidi Bou Said, thank you. It’s in a great position near the TGM station, a roomy little apartment with sml but v. Adequate kitchen. It’s seperate fm the main house but safely nearby. Owners were lovely & responded quickly.
staying in Olivia guest house was more wonderful than I expected and the hosts were extremely helpful. I felt as if I am at home.. I am looking forward to go Tunisia again and staying in the same place. Thank you Eya&Abbes
Great stay in Sidi Bou Said! very close to all amenities and tons of great beaches around! Youssef was a fantastic host and recommended many local spots to us. The home is relaxing, quiet and in a very safe neighborhood.
The place is beautiful, our bedroom was nicely decorated, giving a cozy and traditional atmosphere.
We loved the kindness of the staff, the breakfast in the patio enjoying the sun and the perfect location of the hotel.
Very clean unit with everything you need, great location within walking distance from Sidi Bou Said village, free parking spots near the unit. Beji was extremely nice and he’ll make sure you have a comfortable stay.
Stunning view of the terrace especially at night, room and property areas were clean, located in the center of the Sidi Bou Said, breakfast servers ladies were good and smiling, towels and beddings changed everyday,
Very nice big apartment, clean and equipped with everything you need, plus a nice view from the terrace. Easy access to everywhere, and shops and restaurants are all around.
Great host, who went out of the way to help us while we were there. Nicely laid out accommodation, pretty close the station and few 100 mtr walk from Sidi bou said.
