Israel’s tiny speck of Red Sea is squeezed between Eqypt (Taba) on one side and Jordan (Aqaba) on the other side. Eilat is a resort city for glamorous people lying on the beach and scuba divers under the sea who come together for superb sunsets and long, warm summer nights.
Many tourists use this 7 km stretch of land as a passage to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt or onwards to Petra in Jordan. However, if you stay, this glitzy destination provides relaxation all year round at its numerous luxury hotels and beaches. Coral Beach is the dive centre headquarters with its spectacular coral reefs.
The Tayelet promenade is a place to stroll and search for the perfect restaurant or boutique shop. The southern part of the magnificent Negev Desert can be accessed from Eilat by 4WD tours or bus. This Bedouin territory includes the Great Rift Valley and the Eilat Mountains Nature Reserve.
The sparkling Gulf of Aqaba provides the perfect backdrop for local Israelis and international tourists to party into the wee hours. Festivals such as Red Sea Jazz and Red City during summer help to fuel the busy beach activities.
There are many seaside resorts and chain hotels on Booking.com. Backpackers and families are also provided with ample choices.
Eilat is growing exponentially. It is located by the Red Sea, with Petra and the Jordan mountains next door. The mountains go from beige to purple and pink at sunset, a stunning view. The sea is warm and full of fish. People like the water sports there, though I like to lie by the pool. The weather is warm most of the year.

Tacky place, full of shops and attractions in bad taste.
Tacky place, full of shops and attractions in bad taste. Despite no VAT prices are high and the assortment in the shops is provincial. For decent beaches go South of Coral Beach or preferably to Taba Heights in Egypt.

Fun fun fun!
Israel's Las Vegas, without the gambling, but with coral reefs.
Something for the whole family.
The weather is (almost) always great (except in the heat of summer). Otherwise go indoors or into the water.

A great place for a couple, a big plus is that pets are allowed. The studio is small, but has everything you need, clean and comfortable. And a huge bonus is a gorgeous balcony with stunning views of the whole of Eilat, the sea and the mountains. You can fry meat on the balcony. The downside is the uncomfortable shower and poor drainage. But these are small things and do not spoil the overall impression. Excellent value for money. We will definitely come back! Thanks to the owner!

Eilat was is and will be our 1st choice for a family summer vacation. There are great beaches to spend the day, snorkeling swimming or just hanging around. Eilat has great attractions, great restuarants and great shopping centers.
Also, when it's not dead hot, you can base in Eilat to do great hikes in the lower parts of the Negev and Arava

We came to Eilat for snorkeling and snorkeling was great.
We came to Eilat for snorkeling and snorkeling was great. We went to Migdalor and Coral beaches. Migdalor has equipment rental, nice cafe, nice shady sittings and very nice snorkeling, but bad entrance to the sea because of pebbles and rocks. Coral beach has all of above and nice ramp with steps to the water. Migdalor has better snorkeling, Coral beach has moderate entrance fee.
We went for lunch to Irish Bar cafe, which was surprisingly delicious. Yummy-Yummy ice crèam parlor has good selection if ice creams.
There were plenty of little supermarkets with minimal selection of food.
Very clean and nice place. The stuff is very serviceable. The location is great! The hotel is placed in front of the central bus station, so if you come to Eilat with bus you don't have to worry about the bags :) The Melio Hotel is near to most places. 17 minutes to the Mul Hayam mall, 25 minutes to Eilat promenade. You have supermarket near by and 24/7 mini market 4 minutes walking behind the corner. Free coffee/tea/milk/cols water in the lobby.
Room service every morning and luggage storage service if you need.
The hotel's location just opposite the beach can't be beat. Because the hotel is perpendicular to the shoreline the view from our room was good but not as great as some Eilat hotels. Food in the buffet breakfast and dinner was exceptional with something for every taste. It also varied slightly from day to day giving new choices. Swimming pool with its waterfall is beautiful, although it is shallow and more aimed at children.
Location is great, 5 min from the city of Eilat and main beaches.
Great hospitality, the whole area around the hotel is beautiful, great views, easy to reach many attractions and restaurants within 2-20 min driving. Staff is friendly and happy to help. Place is pets friendly and our dog was very welcome!
Breakfast is good, 8/10.
Value for money = 10!
Very much recommended!
Hotel with seaview and nice pool area just a few mins walk from the beach and the "city center" in a completely safe area. The hotel equals a good 4* category in european standards. Rich, typically israeli breakfast buffet. Bonus: We got offered an upgrade to a room with a Whirlpool the first two nights. Reception crew was always friendly and helpful.
A very small apartment, in a quite neighborhood of Eilat (car or bus required in order to reach city center and beaches). There is a small bedroom and living room, with sofa bed. Everything is very compact, but clean and a good value for the money (much cheaper than hotels at city/beaches). Hosts were very nice and helpful.
They uprgraded my room because im pregnant they wanted me to be more comfortable and closer to the elevators wich was amazing, the food is amazing very fresh and tasty, specially the dinner, and the staff was very helpful and nice, i highly recommend this hotel and this is gonna our go to hotel everytime we visit Eilat!!!
Had a wonderful experience at the Neptune. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help, especially Jana from public relations! Thank you! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Eilat.
The hotel is situated right in the commercial centre of Eilat. The hotel area with pools is surprisingly big especially given location. The room was spacious, the gym was good (although no teens allowed which was a bummer) and the breakfast was great!
Very poor hotel, not even Hostel…electricity went off Saturday morning, meaning no AC! In EILAT!!! In JUNE😱 the desk lady couldnt fix it I couldnt showrr since it was too dark and no AC. Eventualy we left right after the very bad breakfast…
Great budget friendly option in Eilat. Walkable to restaurants and some places but not a lot to do around the hotel. We only stayed for one night and we were satisifed. Staff was super helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean.
Nice new apartment. Clean and tidy. Kitchen good enough, very nice bathroom. We booked the first day the apartment appeared on booking.com and did not regret it. Because of this we got a price much cheaper than the current one.
Breakfast is not included in the booking. But we like the location. We were in the 9th floor of the building and you can see the panoramic view of the magnificent city of Eilat with the Red Sea in the the background.
The location is great, right near Herods and Dan hotels.
Hotel was recently open and it's nice getting into a new hotel instead of renovated one.
Bed was very comfortable.
I loved the price which you just can’t find in Eilat. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast which was served at a pricier hotel was delicious.
