It is a great place for a vacation for a couple or family with children. Attractive town and market. Great variety of restaurants with delicious food. So many attractions nearby for adventure seekers. Our 8 and 10 year olds had a fantastic time. Our visit to Banos was 7 days.

Banks is a suitable destination for all travellers.
Banks is a suitable destination for all travellers. There are more than enough activities for adrenalin junkies: buggy jumping, ziplining, rafting, swing at the top of the world ... For the rest of us the walk to the Devil's cauldron is eminently doable especially in the opposite side along the catwalks. Downtown is a lovely cathedral and a good selection of tourists tat. Don't mix the taffee pullers and be sure to take some home. One of the highlights of Banos are the many remarkable restaurants. Don't miss The Swiss Bistro. There is a great and very interesting small zoo of local fauna at the edge of town. For those interested there is a reptilarium opposite the zoo.MarkEcuador - 10Scored 10

A lot of people do a day tour to Banos from Quito, but I think it is insane, since it takes about 2.5 / 3 hours to get there. Therefore, I think staying couple of nights helps, giving time to explore the little town and all the activities and waterfalls around. The "cascadas" tour is probably the best!

Very nice town with things to do and places to eat and beautiful views. Short bus ride to see waterfalls and hiking trails. Great for day trips to other parts of Ecuador that are interesting as well. It was very safe there.

Great night life vibe for all ages in Banos.
Great night life vibe for all ages in Banos. A great choice of Cafes and restaurants. There was always someone that could speak English if required. The hotel ordered a private taxi to take me to all the tourist spots which was extremely cheap for a days outing and very informative. I was able to walk from my hotel to the township. If you are sporty there is everything there for you. Felt very safe.

Baños was a super cool experience for my birthday. The Pailon del Diablo was the best. The restaurants at the bottom were spectacular! The places in town had local art for sale and great coffee shops etc for tourists. Cute place to spend a few days.JulieUnited States of America

Location is great. Just a couple minutes outside of the middle of Baños, and with an excellent view from the back patio. Downtown Baños has a bit of a weird vibe that we weren't particularly thrilled with, so it was really nice to escape to the outside of town and relax.

We decided to stay longer in banos because of the hotel and also that banos is a great place. The location is a bit off on the map but it takes like 10 mins to the city center by foot.
