The staff at the Comfort Inn was fantastic. We wanted to watch a specific basketball game, so we called ahead to see of the Comfort Inn had that particular network. The staff member checked and yes they did have that network. We also asked for recommendations on a pizza restaurant. She again helped us out. She also called me by my first name when I checked in. Excellent service.

It's a nice small town with all the needed restaurants and stores you would need. There are plenty of outdoor activities to do in the area for those wanting to hike, fish, hunt or just to enjoy nature.

The weather is fantastic, mild temperatures in mid October. The area offers a lot of nature and outdoor sports. I attended a family reunion and we gathered at Rumsey Park for the day, everyone who attended had a good time. I would have liked more time to show my family the nearby lakes and rivers and visit the Tonto Natural Bridge.

Payson is a wonderful slow-paced mountain town.
Payson is a wonderful slow-paced mountain town. Visited the Tonto Natural Bridge, the Pine Creek Lavender Farm, and Pine Creek Fudge Ice Cream & Espresso shop which are all a short drive north of Payson. Loved La Sierra Mexican and Diamond Point Shadows restaurants. Hiked at Cypress Trail and Boulders Loop.
The hotel is in a great location near hiking and other points of interest and within walking distance of restaurants and stores. It has a nice overflow parking lot built for vehicles towing trailers. The hotel is not fancy but is clean and staff is friendly. If you get a room on the common area it is nice to sit out on the back patio and enjoy the weather. We have even seen elk. The free breakfast is basic but does include some hot foods like eggs (probably from frozen), bacon, and sausage.
Nothing ...... they operate at the lowest standard at all levels. I would think that booking.com would have a standard or higher standard when it comes to the locations they promote. Total rip off, I will not stay at this hotel ever again and will advise anyone I know to do likewise. My bar owner friend in Payson said "I don't even let visiting band members stay at that hotel". It's that bad. Be warned. Don't stay at this hotel for any reason. It is really that bad, be warned.
We enjoyed the location and the cabin amenities. Parking was excellent and the porch and patio areas are comfortable. We especially enjoyed the grill for cooking our chicken and the fire pit for building a small fire with wood that we got in Payson. The game room was "old school," but our son enjoyed the games. The beds were adequate. The chair cushions in the kitchen were a bit too dirty for my taste and the "living room" couch and chairs are a bit worn.
This place ruined my vacation. The first room we got was smoked in. We requested to move so we wouldn't be charged for someone else smoking in this room. That went well until I seen the charged me 2 rooms 4 times and held up $1200.and then blamed me for thier mistake and would not help me fix the issue. So at that time I am broke because the hotel messed up. I will never do business with this hotel ever agian and warning to anyone else.
We had breakfast at a nearby cafe, which was excellent. I need to get reimbursed for the hotel cost, and I can't find any receipt or bill. Can you email me a copy? Send to me at: meyerd755@gmail.com Thanks
I did NOT like having to drag luggage up the stairs, since I'm 85 yrs old, and no staff to help with this. For the two of us, not enough towels/washcloths. Beds were very comfortable, and a/c worked well.
I stopped in Payson on a little weekend road trip. I've been working in AZ for the past couple of months and sleeping in a twin-sized bed. I got a king bed at Best Western and this was the best sleep I've had in months. It was so comfortable and I was able to sprawl out. The room was clean and quiet and the breakfast was good, too. I felt so refreshed after staying here for one night. Thank you!!
The staff went out of their way to help us out. We wanted to watch a specific basketball game, so we called ahead to see if they had that particular network that the game would be on. The staff member checked and made sure that was the case. We asked for a recommendation on a pizza location. She again came through. She greeted me by name when I checked in. Excellent service in Payson.
Not a hotel but a single annexe above the owners property. The balcony enabled us to watch birds in the evening, being the main purpose of our trip. Plenty of space, owner very friendly and helpful, car parked off road in a very nice neighbourhood, use of garden (small friendly dog). Everything was as new, very relaxing, unfortunately we had only booked one night.
The main living space was attractive, and very comfortable. Lots of room and areas to chill out. The kitchen had really nice amenities. The ceiling fans were excellent, and the internet connection was great! It was nice there was a fire pit to toast marshmallows and enjoy the outdoors. It was very pet friendly as well.
We have been staying here for three years and it is always a joy to stay. The owner is very nice and the property is well kept, clean and safe. Breakfast at all hotels leave much to be desired these days and this property is no exception. If the rate continues to be reasonable, we plan on staying next year as well!
Very clean room, comfortable bed, well organized amenities for this category lodging. Conveniently located in the center of Payson on SR 87, close to food places and a mile from Walmart. Friendly staff, moderate prices. Great for a short stay base for hikers and bikers in the Mogollon area.
The breakfast was your typical hotel breast, it wasn’t horrible, coffee wasn’t great but it all did the job. We loved the spa tub inside the room and the cute little fireplace. The mirror inside the bathroom was AMAZING. Odd thing to mention I know but I thought it was so cool.
We came to Payson for 2023 World's Oldest Continuous Rodeo.
We stayed at Majestic Mountain Inn. The location is so pretty with beautiful pines and grass.
Breakfast was good.
We are so grateful for upgrading us to the beautiful apartment 🥰. My husband and I will come back
The service was amazing. We had a late arrival due to delayed flights and they accommodated us. We also had camping equipment delivered to the hotel and they sorted out receiving and storing the package. The place was clean, tidy. Good sized rooms. Great breakfast. Thank you!
A very comfortable, spacious room, a nice comfortable rocking chair to enjoy a beer in on the porch looking at a nice garden area. Excellent steakhouse 100yds up the road and nice location for an overnight in Payson.
Room-with the screened sliding door we were able to keep it open all night long to allow for the cool mountain air for the best sleep in a long time. Loved the full sized refrigerator.
We ALWAYS stay at the Comfort Inn in Payson, AZ ! The people are fantastic and the place is always consistently clean!! Tony checked us in, and he was the best!!!
