I went to Calexico to see a family member and on business.
I went to Calexico to see a family member and on business. I have family members buried in Calexico Cementary and needed to take care their headstones. Calexico is close to other places but nothing to do in Calexico. Did not have restaurants other than Denny’s, only fast food places. Has a small airport in Imperial if you needed to fly in.
The staff is so welcoming from checking in and checking out.I walked into the room and it did not smell like a hotel. It was really refreshing, many hotels I have stayed in smell damp. The queen bed and pillows are amazingly comfortable. The shower towels are big too and wrapped great on me. I asked staff for information and I was provided with the best. thank you. only this I was bummed about was free breakfast ☹️ it going through a remodel but I was fine with that. the Keurig coffee maker made up for it
For a Best western and especially in Calexico. I would say it was surprisingly good. I was a little skeptical at first. But very clean, beds were comfy. As far as the staff goes, not very welcoming. Also one great thing is that you can’t hear the people in the next rooms which to me is very important! Especially if they’re loud. So I appreciate that they have thick walls. But other than that it was a pretty good stay for your moneys worth.
The staff is amazing, accommodating and involved. The bathroom in room 116 smells of standing water. The location makes it very noisy,: it's right next to the 111. Then, the hotel was being painted so the machinery started humming at 0700am.
Staff members were very welcoming of the guests, great customer service. The hotel itself was also in good shape and everything from the room to the cafeteria to the premises were all clean.
Perfect location for a border crossing to Mexico, just 5 mins away walking. Reasonable range of shops and facilities nearby. Great hotel and super helpful staff.
If you look at my stays you will see I usually stay at best western and have always been pleased. This was not the case in Calexico John Jay Best Western.
