Stay away from Booking.com and Costa Mesa Marriot. I was double-charged by both Booking.com and the Costa Mesa Marriott. After 8 calls to the Marriott they refuse to do anything about this. Incredibly unfriendly and absolutely unwilling to to the slightest thing to fix this issue. They also list parking as $30 on their garage but charge $40.
This hotel is just 3.5 miles from John Wayne Airport and offers free Wi-Fi, free evening socials and an outdoor pool. Rooms feature a kitchen and 27-inch LCD TV with cable.

Lots of noise from other rooms all night until 7:00am.
Lots of noise from other rooms all night until 7:00am. Rattling plumbing pipes all night. Excessively loud plumbing noise when adjacent rooms ran water which went on all night long. There was a TV in the room but no TV service. The room had two beds, a frig, a microwave, and one chair. No desk or anything else. I have never seen a room with such spartan furnishings. It was a shock.

Outdated. Carpets need to go! King room big, nice TV, bed comfortable. Shower warm and good water pressure. Room not a place to hang out in but good if you just need to get a good nights sleep. Very reasonable price for no frills.

This hotel 'Best Western Plus Newport Mesa Inn' is one if...
This hotel 'Best Western Plus Newport Mesa Inn' is one if not the worst hotel among hundreds of hotels I stayed in the past few years. I'll add some facts here and try to be as objective as possible: Starting with the value for money, it's ridiculous how much expensive this is vs. the quality of this hotel. The carpets are really old and to ensure they can clean them and they're that old, they put a lot of chemicals, for those with some kind of allergy, you can't sleep in the rooms, if you don't have allergy, there is a chance you'll get one if you spend maybe more than a night over there. I booked two connecting rooms and lights were really bad. the lights are sensor operated so you can't keep the lights on, it will be switched off instantly, you can't leave any small lights on during the night and it will be complete blackout. The bathrooms unfortunately stinks, the smell is very obvious and I don't recommend any showers in there, I personally couldn't shower there. I asked for refund but I didn't get it so make sure that you have refundable term there if you really have to book in this motel. Unprofessional staff, the kind of staff that give you the message 'I don't care' which is okay for a motel staff but for a multi hundred dollar night stay, I don't think it's right. Very small windows and absolutely no air circulation, I had to leave the room few times just to have some fresh air. Overall, it was really bad experience. my son got sick and I strongly advise Booking.com to force all hotels to put in some realistic pictures that reflects reality.

Room felt dirty.
Room felt dirty. I wanted to take a bath but tub was NASTY and didn't have a stopper if I was dumb enough to drop my derriere on the tub floor.
Asked for washcloths multiple times but there were none available.
No phone in room.
Extremely noisy with freeway traffic.
No coffee in room and was told very snidely it's not available in lobby until 6am.
No outlets to plug in electronics.
Overall horrible experience - worst La Quinta I've ever stayed at.

Upon my arrival I was asked for a deposit of $50,00 per night totalizing $300,00. I was told this would be refunded to my account within 3-5 working days. That did not happen.
I got in touch with Hilton through their Live chat and opened a case with them and was told, once again, to wait 3-5 working days. Once again never got even an email from them

Close to the beach if you're happy to take a lyft!
Close to the beach if you're happy to take a lyft! However, too far to walk, and there's no bus that takes you straight there.
Walkable to restaurants and just to explore! Loved it honestly! Broken Egg Cafe had the best mimosa I had EVER had!
This property is better than any hotel you could compare it to. The view is even more spectacular in person. The apartment was comfortable and we loved being able to make breakfast in the kitchen before heading out. It’s right around the corner from all the best shopping and restaurants. Most importantly to me- it is wheelchair accessible, especially the roll in shower! Parking was included and the homeowners were incredibly prompt in response and so considerate!
This hotel is a newer structure and very well maintained. It also has a parking garage for guests which is easily accessible. The room was large and quiet, beds very comfortable, nice bathroom too. The breakfast options are typical to the chain with a limited fruit selection, otherwise it was fine. Easy access to the highway makes the location ideal to explore the local attractions and shopping centres. Friendly staff, would stay here again.
The staff, value & location was excellent. It's not the prettiest room but was adequate for the price. One of the best features of the room I stayed in was just how nice the bathroom was; it had a very nicely-tiled walk in shower (for an NBA athlete or super high shower head) and a kind of bathroom that one would find at a much higher end hotel!
This is such a beautiful hotel with a fountain and it has such a quaint ambience. I was thrilled with my oatmeal from the restaurant in the morning. They took such care with every detail. I imagine a more elaborate meal there would’ve been delicious. Would definitely go back again.
This hotel is really surprisingly good for what we have paid so I recommend this place to everyone. Very clean, quite ,nice rooms. The only thing they can improve is the breakfast but really a very nice value for the price
It was not me that stayed your hotel. You allowed somebody else to use my booking.com to stay at your hotel and use my rewards. You should be a little more cautious and responsible when checking in your guests.
I am in love with Westin in South Coast! I live in Costa Mesa and this is the ideal staycation getaway for family and friends. My cousin from Northern Cal and I really enjoyed our time here. 💖
The opportunity to get a cheaper and better room a mile away when they wanted to charge 30$ more because of what they said was market rate, yet the market a mile away wasn't affected at all
The hotel and its location used to be ok, years ago, when it was still a Days Inn, and I visited it whenever I was in Orange County. I actually liked it, because it is close to downtown.
the staff upgraded my room since there was no pet room left. the suite was wonderful and the environment was perfect for my dog! hotel is in an excellent location too
Had a good time and experience. Went also for the Marathon event, the hotel provided shuttle service for us. Thanks Marriot Costa Mesa ! Will definitely comeback.
