FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

We went for a simple getaway, to shop and eat.

We went for a simple getaway, to shop and eat. We are big on food, so we visited many local restaurants for the authentic Chicago experience. There are great coffee places and pastry shops. Overall rating of the food would be 9/10. It is also a good idea to go watch a game of any of the great Chicago teams. We went for a Bulls game, however, I bet visiting Wrigley Field must have great atmosphere too! Chicago is a walkable city, we walked around 20 kilometers every day, and it didn't even feel like it. However, there is a very nice subway/train net, which gets you pretty much anywhere for very cheap.

It was my first time in Chicago and absolutely loved it.

It was my first time in Chicago and absolutely loved it. The skyline at night particularly is magical and not to be missed on a clear day near the water. The river boat trip was great too and seeing the mirrored buildings stretching upwards was wonderful to stroll around . The Art Institute is an absolute must, especially the Impressionists which had an abundance of wonderful art. Shame the Chagall exhibition was closed. Wild berry pancake place is worth a trip, La Colonial is not cheap and find Meiomi red wine as wonderful. The Hyatt has a good range of reds. The I love Chicago shop near the Bean is worth a visit. People were so kind and helpful. I stayed at the River Hotel which was brilliant value for money with fab location, most comfortable beds ever and wonderful staff. The sign posting in Chicago leaves a great deal to be desired especially for trains. The Blueline goes direct to the Trump Tower area but I realize now how clear London signs are for trains! The city sparkles in parts and I am sure I will be back. West Loop apparently has amazing food places. Food is more expensive than London and remember tax is on top of anything you buy and service charge for service is 20% at least.

    We love this city!

We love this city! We love coming back and enjoy all the delicious and amazing restaurants this city has to offer. We always make sure to visit Greek town. Greek Islands our favorite Greek restaurant. We also love to eat at Oven Grinders. Their pizza pies are so unique and the Mediterranean bread is a must! Spending the day exploring The Field Museum makes for a perfect day. They have so many amazing exhibits. There is also the Shedd aquarium which offers beautiful views of Lake Michigan from the aquarium.

Best place to stay right in downtown. A Bicycle station is less than a block away and you are centrally located to all the shops including the best pizza restaurants Chicago has— Ginos. The customer service was impeccable. They supported our ability to stay later because of our later flight. Overall, I loved this hotel. The room was extremely spacious. If you are looking for extra space this is the place to stay. Lastly, it is quiet and it was really comfortable because of the way they separate the restroom from the living quarters.

What I liked most is that the breakfast was included, the environment was confortable and people from hotel in all areas are always helping and attending all our needings accordingly. Also it was very close from Metro Stations and the loop. Very close to Millenium Park, Art Institute of Chicago and easy walk to Magnificent Mile and Riverwalk. Everything as a whole fulfilled my expectatives. If you have concerns, they always give you the best way to reach the sites and recommendations to visit places and how safe are they.

This was my first ever visit to Chicago. Hotel location was great – right in the hart of downtown with beautiful river view. From this hotel I walked city centre back and forth, but in case you do not like walking, metro and Metra train station is very close to the hotel. Hotel and room qualities are very good (I booked room with river view). That hotel met all my expectation and I have already made another booking there for August to stay with my family

Wonderful hotel. Very clean room, good quality towels and bed linen, comfortable bed. The room is not big, but has all that I need. No carpet in room, that what I love. The staff are very friendly. The hotel located in 15 min walk from the downtown area ( Riverwalk, Millennium mile) or 8$ by the Uber. CTA Roosevelt station in 5 min walk from the hotel. It was very convenient for me to get to the Midway airport. Also I liked the breakfast at the hotel.

Has covid driven hotel prices down this much? This awesome room in downtown Chicago was insanely cheap! It was a tiny apartment, 2 TVs, full kitchen, etc. The breakfast was an actual breakfast, eggs, sausage, potatoes, fruit, tons of other stuff. The entire staff was super friendly, helpful and informative. Parking was $50/nite, but the room was so cheap it didn't matter. We have to come back next month, will look here first. Thanks!

Wonderful hotel. Chouldnt ask for a better location. My wife and I could walk to all the main spots downtown and a quick uber ride to neighborhoods. We stay on the city view side and it was beautiful view of downtown. The bar and lobby were a happening. Drinks, and food were expensive but was isn't in Chicago. Price wise was great, if your staying off season, I can't say in the summer. We would stay again for sure.

the location was great & the staff was exceptional. my only complaint would be the rooms were very cramped and the bathroom had almost zero lighting, no fan and a sliding door that was very hard to open and close. It was nothing that made that big of a difference overall. the staff made up for it. the hotel was updated and gorgeous! parking was much cheaper than downtown and only a 20 min drive to the city.

We chose the hotel mainly because of the location and price. The location is very close to the center - everything is very close (restaurants, bars, breakfast, parking, park with Gloud Gate, etc ..)The price for a hotel in downtown Chicago was also very good. Thanks to a good price range, we did not have high expectations from the hotel. But the equipment was tidy and we were satisfied with it.

Great location in Downtown Chicago. Decent price on the room rate. We stayed in the King standard room which we felt was nice, liked the interior, comfortable bed, and loved the shower with the spray hose option and a huge shower head on the ceiling above you, a spa feel. I’d stay here again, it was quiet inside the hotel but busy and lots to do downtown.
